4138519 | 173Carver | The entire south half of this block has been demolished. More than half of the NRHP listed Gold's building has been leveled. So far the only plan for it is to be a surface parking lot. The "Gold's N Street" bus stop to the south is no longer in service. This is a large pit still being maintained by construction at the moment. |
4138550 | 173Carver | A few tennis/pickleball courts have been installed here. |
4138549 | 173Carver | There is no longer an entrance from South 8th Street into this lot. |
4138553 | 173Carver | This space is the first designated food truck zone in Lincoln. So far it is only for scheduled times and weekends but it is a community space for the enjoyment of food truck vendors and customers. There is a half court basketball court on the west end just before S 6th Street and picnic tables throughout from S 6th to S 7th. (To be clear all of this is obviously under the Rosa Parks Way overpass) |
4138513 | 173Carver | Scooters Coffee House is no longer at this location, the Historic Golds Building has been completely gutted. It is entirely vacant. Rumor has it a hotel will occupy it in the future. |
4138510 | 173Carver | Unfortunately Danny's Downtown Deli has closed about two years ago and the entire Terminal Building was renovated, it is now called the Traction Lofts and First Interstate Bank occupies the ground level south end of the building and has installed a drive thru teller line off the south end of the building. |
4138499 | 173Carver | This was the Lincoln Journal Star office building, it has since been razed and a new drab student housing called "Atmosphere" is there. It is 13 stories on the south half and 8 stories on the north half. There is no off street parking north of the building, there is a 30 minute max. loading zone with space enough for maybe two vehicles. To clarify, the buildings footprint extends to the sidewalk on the north side of the block. |
4138506 | 173Carver | This is no longer an alley that you can access N 11th Street from. The University is expanding the Westbrook Music Building incorporating the entire previous parking lot north of this point and extends to the sidewalk south of this point. The construction crew is using the small lot to the west of the Institute Building for materials but it will be cleared and cleaned at the completion of the new Music building and be privately used once again by the Institute. |
4138504 | 173Carver | UNL removed the sculpture that was here about a year ago, it depicted a 2-D figure smoking. The removed it far before the renovations on Kimball Recital Hall and the Westbrook Music Building began. |

4138577 | 173Carver | Pan Dulce is farther down than where it is posted currently. |
