Bridge over Mains Brook is part collapsed and closed. The footpath is closed along this stretch of the river, fenced off between the railway bridges.

LEP reported in June that the Liverpool bound carriageway and cycle track were closing soon, with a contraflow on the other side. Temporary layout needs surveying.

Re-construction nearly complete. Many new traffic lights and pedestrian and cyclist features to be surveyed.
