52217202 | almost 8 years ago | Thanks for contributing to OpenStreetMap! The water polygon seems to be an error, though. I'm going to delete it. |
51822888 | almost 8 years ago | Should this be tagged as access=private or access=no, instead of deleting it? |
51596624 | almost 8 years ago | Thanks for joining OpenStreetMap! When you're drawing buildings, you can also right-click and choose the "square" option to adjust the angles of the building to make them more rectangular. |

50239782 | about 8 years ago | Oof, you are totally right. My mistake. Thanks for catching it! |
50409260 | about 8 years ago | Thanks for contributing to OpenStreetMap! Next time, if you are going to edit in two places in different parts of the world, could you do those as two separate edits? (Two "changesets" to use OSM terminology). Also, please add a comment in your changeset, so we know what you were doing. Thanks! |
50243390 | about 8 years ago | I assume this is not a campsite named "Campsite Shower", but is instead simply the shower at this campsite. I'm going to change it to 'amenity=shower' |
50189399 | about 8 years ago | Hi there, welcome to OpenStreetMap! Can you explain a bit more what's happening here? Are these technically parks? Why are they all adjacent to each other? Why do they have such strange names? Are these real features on the ground, or is this fake data? |
50188348 | about 8 years ago | Hello, and thank you for contributing to OpenStreetMap. Could you add a little bit more information about this business to make the map more useful? For example, would office=lawyer be appropriate here? See: osm.wiki/Tag:office%3Dlawyer |
50117989 | about 8 years ago | Hello, and welcome to OpenStreetMap! I'm not sure what you're trying to add here? Are you recording the location of some water samples that you are taking? If so, then OpenStreetMap is not the appropriate place to store that data. Can you describe your intent here, please? |
50132964 | about 8 years ago | Hello, and welcome to OpenStreetMap! I see you're just testing things out, but please be aware that you're editing the same map data that everyone in the world uses. So please don't add any details that are only relevant for a few people (such as the name "Barb's house"). I'm going to remove those tags. If you have any more questions about how to do constructive edits to OpenStreetMap, don't hesitate to ask, there are lots of people willing to help out! |
50040904 | about 8 years ago | Thanks for contributing to OpenStreetMap! This node needed an 'amenity=library' tag so that the map rendering program knows to use a library icon. Just using the 'name' tag isn't sufficient. I fixed it for you. |
50021647 | about 8 years ago | It looks like you were trying to fix the name of the store, but you only fixed the "name:en" tag, but not the "name" tag. (I'm not sure what it looks like when you're editing in maps.me, possibly they hide that distinction.) I'll fix it. |
50018538 | about 8 years ago | The "addr:housenumber" tag should only include the number part, and "addr:street" should include the full "Montana Street", not just "St". I fixed it for this building. |
50018364 | about 8 years ago | Thanks for contributing to OpenStreetMap! In this case, you don't need to have a separate node for the address and all the building information. You could add those tags to the building itself, not to the node. (it looks like you did that correctly in most of your other edits). |
49995206 | about 8 years ago | Hello, and welcome to OpenStreetMap! I see you are trying to add names to some water features. However, the nodes you created didn't have any tags on them. At minimum in this case they should have a 'name=', as well as a tag that explains what type of feature it is. In OSM however, we also usually add names directly to the feature itself, instead of adding the name as a separate node. So in this case, you would select the lake, and add a name tag to the lake. I deleted the empty nodes that you created so far, but I encourage you to try again, this time adding the necessary tags to the correct features. Let us know if you need any help! |
49975153 | about 8 years ago | Hi! Thanks for contributing to OpenStreetMap! You tagged this as your house, however, the "name" tag is for the commonly used names for things that everyone can agree on. Unless _everyone_ calls this "My House", that's not the proper name. Also, I don't think this is a true guest house open to the public. Sounds like it's just "building=house". |
