Cycleway ends at the traffic lights just north of the petrol station. The path in front of the petrol station is a footpath only; crossings west of the petrol station are pedestrian crossings.

Clarifying that the path from Barton Road onto Bridgewater Way is accessible for bikes. Otherwise when trying to leave the canal, you seem to get routed around.

Slightly misleading for Dark Lane to be tagged as a minor road. It's somewhere in between a footpath and a dirt farm track, and there's a locked gate at one end.

Connect Middlewood Way cycle path to steps (otherwise cycle routes are disjointed)

Cyclists can leave Chester Road onto the shared-use path after the M60 slipway; there is a drop-kerb here so you can stay on the road until the last moment

Connect path to Bank Street

The gates on this path appear to have been removed, making it more accessible for cycles and wheelchairs. (You can see the vestigial A-frame barriers at the side of the path, on StreetView.)
