The correct spelling is "Arctic Lane"

Three are 2 "c"s in "Arctic", as there are in "the "Arctic Circle" name, (which is located at the top of the earth at about 65.5 degrees latitude north of the earth's equator).

We enjoy geography, geology, and history .... which we also enjoy sharing ... enjoy.

"Arctic Lane" is a private road and was named for its geographic location (and some California gold rush history.

Background Info: The 20 acre property where Arctic Lane ends (address 5051 Arctic Lane) was established as a Mineral Land Grant (and private land ~ that is, not public land) to the "Arctic Quartz Gold Mine Company" (see subject map labelling of the "Arctic Mine" and it's location near the address 5051) . The Mineral Grant was in 1881. A copy of that grant document is available on request.

The Hupner family has owned the subject 20 acre property since 1964 (61 years), and it was my parents that, with the agreement of all the local neighbors, agreed to call their private road "Arctic Lane", which was approved by El Dorado County. The El Dorado County Assessor's Office is available via phone (530-621-5719) to offer their information.

Marker is put in the correct spot to get to 17015 N. Sands Rd. Mead, WA 99021. Only way to access this address is off of N Sands Rd.
