Hi herriotto, can you confirm that the source you are getting the roads from can be licensed to be used in OSM?

Can you please add a description of what you've changed to your changesets in future?

Hi @x-phil. Can you please include comments on your changesets, so that it is clear what you are changing on the map?

Thanks, David

Hey @stragu, nice work on the tree species, but I think they should be tagged species=..., not name=....

Wiki page here: osm.wiki/Sidewalks. Both are acceptable, so I don't think removing someones mapping work to make a less detailed approach is a good idea.

There's nothing wrong with using footways to map sidewalks, in fact I think it is better and more detailed in the long run. It also allows you to indicate useful things like pedestrian specific crossings, and tactile paving.

Looks good David! Please try to put a comment on your changesets describing what you have changed. Maybe "Building names and details from survey", for example.

It does show up in the main OSM search engine: http://nominatim.openstreetmap.org/search.php?q=1+william+st%2C+brisbane&polygon_geojson=1&viewbox=

I have reverted your changesets for now, to get the building back the way it was.

As the building has an address, it should be enough for a router to locate it. Which route planner are you using that isn't working?

52429563 almost 8 years ago

Hi, can I ask what you are trying to achieve here?

Please don't modify the building incorrectly to fix something wrong in routing software.

Hey zatium, This link may help: osm.wiki/Simple_3D_buildings, and it should eventually show up here if you want to check if it was done right: https://osmbuildings.org/?lat=-27.49399&lon=152.91059&zoom=18&rotation=0&tilt=30.

Actually, the Broncos are based at Broncos Leagues Club at osm.org/way/13611164, not at Suncorp Stadium. I don't know about the other teams.

Consider tagging the shelters as an area with building=roof, and the parking areas under the shelters as covered=yes.

But in general, as long as your tagging makes it clear what you see on the ground it's good, and someone can change it to more accepted tagging if they want to, which they couldn't do if you hadn't put the information in in the first place.

Hi seanw_au, welcome to OpenStreetMap, and thanks for your contribution!

Single-day events don't really belong in OpenStreetMap, but we woud really appreciate any information you have about the venue at which this festival took place.

I noticed on the website that it is held at "West Village", which is the large, currently marked as constuction area to the north-west of where you placed this node. Is this correct?
