115248937 | over 3 years ago | This is incorrect, the road was cut off around a year or two ago due to the construction zone to the north. |

112192136 | almost 4 years ago | Intended comment: assorted fixes and refinements around Oxford |
111769779 | almost 4 years ago | Hey, just noticed the changeset comment on this, incline should be in % grade rather than degrees unless otherwise marked. See osm.wiki/Key:incline. Let me know if you have any questions! |
111624934 | almost 4 years ago | I've fixed the entrances here (osm.org/changeset/111651823), but I haven't touched your unique tags yet (I've also noticed that you've added a wheelchair_barrier=3 tag on some steps). I'd love to talk about how to make OSM work best for your project. I think that everything you want to accomplish can likely be easily done with existing tags that won't confuse and may even help other users. If you're on campus, we could meet up in person to talk, or we can chat remotely. |
111624934 | almost 4 years ago | I looked again at the wiki and the correct tag for slope would be incline. (osm.wiki/Key:incline) This also appears to be the only use of "slope" worldwide. Where there is no compelling reason otherwise, it is recommended to use the tags documented on the wiki to ensure that the database is globally consistent. |
111624934 | almost 4 years ago | Thanks for your improvements around Upham! I am glad that you have switched from angle to slope, but you still have a few paths with the surface_id tag. As these are the only uses of this tag worldwide (https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1bsm), I don't know what they're supposed to represent that isn't represented by the standard surface tag. In general, we avoid tags in OSM which aren't human-readable, and material_id=2 certainly doesn't make sense to me. I also believe that some of the entrances you marked are exit-only, which I will check in person today. |
111335658 | almost 4 years ago | Hello, and welcome to OpenStreetMap! It appears that you have deleted some paths and recreated them rather than just modifying them. In the future, try to just modify existing objects where possible rather than deleting and recreating them with the new features.
Thanks,
|

111239722 | almost 4 years ago | Went by today and took a photo of Dodds under construction: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Dodds_Hall_construction_2021.jpg I'll hopefully get to the fixes tonight still. |
111239722 | almost 4 years ago | Hello,
I will plan on making these changes tonight unless I hear from you otherwise. |
110736133 | almost 4 years ago | Oh hey, it's PiGuy! Welcome back to Oxford! (At least in terms of editing, no idea where you are physically) |
110445343 | almost 4 years ago | Surveyed and removed driveway in 110726475. |
110445343 | almost 4 years ago | Hello, Is there a particular reason why this is mapped as a driveway rather than a generic service road? I've been here in the past year and I believe it leads only to a shed. Thanks,

108662433 | about 4 years ago | Hello, It has been about 24 hours since my last attempt to contact you on changeset #108586869. Since then, you have continued to upload these large changesets. Over the past two days, you have uploaded more than 275,000 elements, as well as modified and deleted a few thousand, all in changesets with the same name. I would just like to know if these very large number of edits are automated/an import or if they are all by hand. If it is the case that these edits are automated, it seems to me that they may violate osm.wiki/IT:Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct, which required information in the changesets. |
108586869 | about 4 years ago | Hello, Are this and the other 10 changesets uploaded presumably as a batch an import? If so, why didn't you use the mcheckimport user? |
103730713 | about 4 years ago | I've just surveyed the area and corrected the water area in #104212340 |
103730713 | about 4 years ago | I see the road seems to go over a pond - is the pond no longer there or is there a ford or bridge? |
