It appears to me that you've randomly changed a large number of paths around Oxford from bicycle=permissive to bicycle=no, in this changeset and 114122707. Upon review, a handful of these appear to be steps, which should be changed to highway=steps and have bicycle=permissive removed instead. Many others do not appear to have any reason to be bicycle=no. Please let me know why you made these changes.

I've fixed the entrances here (osm.org/changeset/111651823), but I haven't touched your unique tags yet (I've also noticed that you've added a wheelchair_barrier=3 tag on some steps).

I'd love to talk about how to make OSM work best for your project. I think that everything you want to accomplish can likely be easily done with existing tags that won't confuse and may even help other users. If you're on campus, we could meet up in person to talk, or we can chat remotely.

I looked again at the wiki and the correct tag for slope would be incline. (osm.wiki/Key:incline) This also appears to be the only use of "slope" worldwide. Where there is no compelling reason otherwise, it is recommended to use the tags documented on the wiki to ensure that the database is globally consistent.

Thanks for your improvements around Upham! I am glad that you have switched from angle to slope, but you still have a few paths with the surface_id tag. As these are the only uses of this tag worldwide (https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1bsm), I don't know what they're supposed to represent that isn't represented by the standard surface tag. In general, we avoid tags in OSM which aren't human-readable, and material_id=2 certainly doesn't make sense to me.

I also believe that some of the entrances you marked are exit-only, which I will check in person today.

Hello, and welcome to OpenStreetMap! It appears that you have deleted some paths and recreated them rather than just modifying them. In the future, try to just modify existing objects where possible rather than deleting and recreating them with the new features.
I am also not familiar with some of the tags you used. Can you explain what angle and surface_id mean? If you meant to indicate the grade/slope of the path, you should use "incline" instead. See osm.wiki/Key:incline for more information.

Thank you for continuing to contributing to Oxford. Unfortunately,
I am not certain about some of your changes. The construction around Dodds Hall is new this semester and would not appear on any imagery, so unless you have been by Dodds in the past two weeks to see that the construction is finished, I believe those changes should be reverted. Additionally, I have been by Hillcrest and the nearby path in the past two weeks and did not see a new footpath there. However, it appears that it might be a desire path on some imagery, in which case it should be tagged with informal=yes.

I will plan on making these changes tonight unless I hear from you otherwise.
