It is best to make the points alongside the road and not directly on the road. A point over the house/entrance.

PS: Maps.me (Free cellphone app) allows you to add / amend too. The maps it comes with are update around once very 2 months.

Yes, OSM has explicit permission to use this dataset. Adrian kindly manages the updates of this data every few years. The data is high quality and is the definitive boundary dataset for South Africa.
