If walking here in wet weather make sure you have thoroughly waterproof boots. There is highly contaminated runoff from the manure heap.

Lots of very attractive winding paths through this patch of woodland - could do with a visit with tracking gear.

From car park of Bull's Head Foolow it looks as if this has been filled in (excavators look to be still present). More recent survey needed.

This has been closed with barriers to cars and horse drawn carriages for several years. This is because of a land slip. It used to be well traveled (I used it many times on past visits) and was a useful link between Eyam and Grindleford.
The slip area is relatively short, and (speaking to locals) would not be a particularly difficult repair.

Notices at the ends of this say "Not suitable for motor transport" however a car with a relatively short wheelbase and a bit higher than normal clearance can manage it with care - off-roaders would breeze it.

Footpath is closed because of a land slip. There is a council notice saying it is due to reopen May 2025. I'll probably be there again the following June so will check and update this.

The road has been closed here for about 3 years, due to subsidence caused by mining. The company went bankrupt many years ago, and there are still arguments as to who should take responsibility :(

Pub currently closed. The owner/landlord has sold up and left. It is due to reopen under new management on the 12th April. Don't know if it will still be a free house. I'll try to visit that weekend and see what it's like.
