I have been to the Elk Country Visitor Center and it is the large building surrounded by gravel trails off of Homestead Drive. This looks like someone's house on aerial imagery and Regrid lists the owner of the parcel as an individual, not "Government Lands State DCNR" like the official Elk Country Visitor Center. The creator of this building, RideAndDriveTrails, has deleted his/her account.

According to the WayBackMachine, this probably happened suddenly in September 2024. A horse user reports that access from Glass City is now also prohibited. Are any of these trails still open to hiking outside of hunting season, or should they all be set to private, along with bicycle/horse:no?
