133234751 | over 1 year ago | I did have some doubts about that tag, but its wiki page describe it for **or elsewhere**: osm.org/wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dlounge More importantly, the original proposal describes it as "a comfortable waiting/recreational area" for customers and **not limited to airports**, which doesn't appear in the current version of the wiki: osm.wiki/Proposal:Lounges |
145136970 | over 1 year ago | Welcome to OSM, and kudos for the valuable work! Thank you for helping create a better map on OpenStreetMap. For naming features, our practice is to avoid abbreviations, so the names you added, for example, should be "Filbert Street" rather than "Filbert St". Depending on which map layer you might be using, the map renderer will take care of the appropriate abbreviation for you. 144934636 | over 1 year ago | Good to see this familiar OSM still contributing in the region. Kudos Totor! :) |
144039925 | over 1 year ago | Hello @Anim Mouse. Thank you for checking this out. I noticed that tags already had name:left and name:right, but remembered the wiki convention for this incorrectly. The former street name has been restored. |
143557536 | over 1 year ago | For features like this, the operator or brand is a helpful information to add. |
143510022 | over 1 year ago | That's awesome! Thank you, and welcome to OpenStreetMap (OSM). The convention for mapping is we leave out place/branch names out of the feature name. I'll edit this for you, so you can follow what I'm saying. If you have questions, or just keen to know more about the local communities, check out the platforms where they hang out: osm.org/wiki/PH |
143241156 | over 1 year ago | Hi @edwarderos! We appreciate your effort in contributing edits to OSM, which are published publicly. However, the notations you made to the feature are also public, and is not relevant for other users. We hope that you'll continue your participation, but try to keep your private noteabto yourself. |
137773088 | almost 2 years ago | Good job! Thank you for helping make a better map. 🥳 |
141447805 | almost 2 years ago | Thank you for your edit, and helping improve the local map. 🥳 When adding names, you can avoid redundant entries by using other namespaces like short_name, alt_name, etc, to capture additional details. You can read more about that from the wiki: osm.wiki/Names By the way, can you confirm that this road is really a one way road? It looks odd since there's no direct route to the main road, with that one way restriction. |
141422228 | almost 2 years ago | Thank you for fixing it, and helping make a better map! 🥳 |
141008029 | almost 2 years ago | For your convenience you can view the history here, too: https://osm.mapki.com/history/way/162052559 The last geometry edit was made 8 days ago (not a rename, as I posted earlier), and the prior name change was made in 2019. |
141008029 | almost 2 years ago | Hi there. Thank you raising this topic. Yes, the easist way to determine the history of OpenStreetMap (OSM) elements is the Query Feature button (it's the last button on the right panel of the screen, featuring an arrow pointing to the left, with a question mark. In this case, the land feature was named 8 days ago. OSM never claims to be authoritative, or official. Ergo, caveat emptor. With or without OSM, it's not hard to create fantasy maps. |
139014308 | about 2 years ago | Hello @Zunco☺️ . Welcome to OpenStreetMap. You appear to trying to map something else, but you're tagging them as "camp sites." Could you elaborate what you're trying to do? If you're keen to learn more, or get in touch with the local OpenStreetMap community, check out osm.org/wiki/PH |
137464330 | about 2 years ago | Wow! Thank you for completing the street names in this area. |
137397598 | about 2 years ago | Let's agree to calling it "unnecessary", for the routers then. Maybe, just map the signage then?
|
137397537 | about 2 years ago | Right. I suppose that's a better term. You can map the signage separately then.
|
131531712 | about 2 years ago | Thanks for updating the POIs, @Legitamer. Great to see a fellow Osmand user helping improve OSM! It's better to tag sari-sari stores as `shop=convenience`, rather than `shop=yes`. |
136081606 | about 2 years ago | Example tags appropriate tag for short-term construction work: construction=minor + motor_vehicle:conditional=no @ (2018 May 1-2022 May 31) |
136081606 | about 2 years ago | @raenbow highway=construction should only be used when a road is **impassable** due to construction activity. If partial access is possible (e.g. one lane remains passable), highway=*, and access=* tags remain as-is. A note is definitely going to be useful for reference. |
135433255 | about 2 years ago | Hello @Izzhar Balbon. I'm curious about some of the elements you added in this changeset that doesn't show up in several imagery providers. Can you please elaborate what your source is? |
