55818744 | over 7 years ago | @HarmHarm thank you for your recent contributions to OSM, especially with this missing highways challenge. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to get in touch. You might be doubtful about a particular tag, or would like to clarify their use. Or perhaps, you have ideas you want to flesh out to improve your neighbourhood map. Or maybe just want to know more about Openstreetmap. There's this very short Tips & Tricks page [5] for Philippine contributors, you might want to check out. And do keep in touch through any community channel: mailing list [0], FB [1], G+[4], Telegram [2], or Slack[3] [0]: https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-ph/

55757104 | over 7 years ago | Hi there. Welcome to OSM! You've been tagging an unusually lot of chimneys. Could you tell what these you're actually tagging? |
55755996 | over 7 years ago | Still better, of course, would be width=*, but again, there's the big question of how to get that information. |
55755996 | over 7 years ago | This obviously is a residential area, and the use of highway=service is problematical. Until better imagery, or local mappers can confirm, I suggest the following instead:
With this tag, it acknowledges the functional use of the road, while providing additional information for navigation software. Refer to their respective wiki pages for details. |
55709787 | over 7 years ago | I recently noticed your contributions to OpenStreetMap (OSM). Thank you! Kudos for using OpenStreetMap's to create a better map of your community. As you may know, your edit is immediately live in the main OSM site as soon as they've been saved to the database, although other apps may take a few weeks (or months) to refresh their copies. If you have any questions at all, let us know and we can try to help out. You might think you have broken something, you're in doubt how to map something in particular, or you just want to know more about Openstreetmap. Get in touch with us! Here are some tips to get you started: * Detailed information is available from the wiki pages. If you don't find how to map something with your editor of choice, the quickest solution is look at Map Features on the wiki. For more complicated questions, you can search in or post on the Help site, or ask the forum. Go to osm.wiki

55321082 | over 7 years ago | I just recently noticed your contributions to OpenStreetMap (OSM). Thank you! Kudos for using OpenStreetMap, and a belated welcome to the community. Glad to see somebody tending this section of the map of the Philippines. Do you know that apart from Mapbox, additional aerial imagery is available: DigiGlobe, ESRI? The Strava Heatmap are also useful for aligning imagery. If you have questions, or concerns, or simply like to get in touch, there are various community channels for local mappers which I hope you can join, and exchange correspondence with fellow mappers. 55642770 | over 7 years ago | please add your note=* or description=* to the feature itself. |
55642770 | over 7 years ago | This are especially important for roads, but could apply to streets, as well. |
55642770 | over 7 years ago | re blocked roads, are these confirmed by yourself? If these are highways blocked by informal occupation, consider adding barrier=yes in end nodes, and add access:motorcar=no (or a more restrictive access:motor_vehicle=no) in the linear way, while keeping the appropriate highway tag (i.e highway=residential) |
