You mentioned KartaView as a source for this edit, but I don't see any publicly available imagery for this area:

https://kartaview.org/map/@14.60312777142336,121.00099567742188,21z

Can you please elaborate?

Hi there.

I noticed that your team in Grab is modifying a lot of street names, and reducing the information quality of the feature.

This street is originally called "M. dela Fuente Street", and despite what the shortened name you see from the sign board, this is still popularly referred to as "M. dela Fuente Street".

Use the short name tag if you like, if that's appropriate, but be very careful when qualified names are already supplied by local mappers.

I am restoring the feature name to the original.

Is this a courhouset? Check whether `amenity=courthouse` is more appropriate to use: osm.org/wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dcourthouse

Hi @Tikbalang! Glad to see your new edits!

This college you added, you might want to add amenity=college to the school grounds itself, and add the rest of the attributes there..

Right now, what you did is add the college building itself.

You can review the nearby schools, to give you a better idea how this done. Of course, for basic education, amenity=school is used, instead of amenity=college.

Hi there! Can you please elaborate on the source of the name change you made on way/893235782 ?

Based on my local knowledge, this street is V. Pozon, which starts at the intersection of the streets of F. Manalo and J.B. Miguel, then ends at E. Jacinto.

The OSMaPaaralan task for Bambang Elementary School along this highway also identifies the street as V. Pozon.

You mention KartaView as a source, but I don't see any available imagery in this area.

Hi there. Thank you for contributing to OpenStreetMap.

In OSM, we value and respect the privacy and personal information of individuals, and adding the surnames of owners are residents are not acceptable, even if you have the permission of these persons.

If you wish, you may add other public information, like house numbers and street names instead. If you do this, these POIs become properly searchable.

Thank you for this more nuanced explanation instead of your changeset 107130566 comment "I have changed the classification of roads based on the surrounding area."

I know see that I left this area incomplete, leaving you to think that the "classification gap" is an error.

QA flags for "classification gaps" , especially in developing countries like ours, should not be automatically thought of as errors by mappers. Many of parts of our road networks are in development, and information from the ground is vital to reflect local use.

Next time, please ask or discuss the changeset to clarify the issue, rather than making a unilateral change that may cause loss of information from the ground.

Thank you.

*OSM, not ISM.

Thank you adding detailed information, like street names and POIS. That will make it easier for other people to use the data/map for navigation or when searching for POIs.

105160049 about 4 years ago

No, OpenStreetMap is not an authoritative source for defining real property. For that, you should rely on legal sources in the Philippines

The edits you make ISM can affect navigation, routing, name look-ups for apps that use them.

Could somebody in your project kindly review your group's edits in this region again?

Sadly, the #grab edits appear to be adding buildings that already exist resulting in many overlapping buildings.

Before making these changes, it would've been appreciated if you bothered to discuss it first in the changeset.

These classification reflect the highway classification convention of the local community. You may review them here: osm.wiki/Philippines/Mapping_conventions#Roads

To protect your privacy, avoid adding personal details (e.g. surnames), and use public address details like house number, street names instead.

Adding nearby public POIs are also helpful (shops, amenitiest, etc.)

I'm sure you meant #HailHydrant :D

I'm sorry to hear about the first time, but how do you think could the first time user experience be improved?

Is it the UI? Need more docs? Is it the theme?

It would be helpful to know, so we can make it better. Personally, I now like to introduce people to OSM using this editor, rather than iD (but that depends on what you're working on)

106242075 about 4 years ago

Actually, it's "isced:level" and not "isced_level", and and yes, we know how it's not the same as admin_level.

If you're keen to know how we use isced:level in the OSMaPaaralan project, please refer to this wiki page: osm.org/wiki/Philippines/OSMaPaaralan

Is there any particular issue with any element in this changeset that you're concerned with?

105911320 about 4 years ago

Cool! So, what do you think of the MapComplete editor?

105666737 about 4 years ago

Hi @Upward PH. Welcome to OpenStreetMap, and thank you for adding your businesses in the map.

Hi there, @dgp_dpwh. Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Do you work with the DPWH, as your name implies?

105649485 about 4 years ago

I'm not sure "Hwy 36" is appropriate for the ref tag here. You might want to use "Highway 36" as an alt_name instead.

104086112 about 4 years ago

There are serious concerns about this changeset.

You renamed a mature element on the map without bothering to verify about duplicate name features.
