Changeset When Comment

Bonjour,

Hi,

Thank you for these additional indications, so you have created this point after reading the note. If I understand correctly, you create points with a tag name=* for each note created in Phnom Penh. Do you check the presence of this object? Or the type of establishment, in which case you could indicate a primary tag (For example for SundaySticker, it could be shop=stationery) This would allow all these points to be searchable on overpass, and better be referenced on nominatim. (osm.wiki/Map_features). I've already done this on a few POIs, and they appear correctly on the Mapnik rendering as well as via Overpass. I suggest that you identify the type of POI indicated in the notes before adding it on OSM (and possibly add other contact tags). I'm always available if you have any questions.

If you want to visualize the different points that would require the addition of a primary tag (making it usable for OSM) you can use this Overpass request : https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/13lH

Have a nice day

Hi andy9876,

First of all thank you for your many contributions to OpenStreetMap, you are a long time and regular contributor and I thank you for that. I noticed many nodes with an orphan name=* attibut (without primary tag), which does not follow the tagging rules (always a primary tag, preferably with an institution name). I am currently updating several of these points on Phnom Penh, but I invite you to pay more attention to this point in the future. Moreover for a better tracking of changes and additions made on Phnom Penh, you should add a comment of changeset, making it easier to read your contributions. I advise you to use Osmose to keep an eye on these omissions, as well as your own: https://osmose.openstreetmap.fr/en/map/#username=andi9876&zoom=15&lat=11.53635&lon=104.91492&item=xxxx&level=1,2,3&tags=&fixable=

Have a nice day,

Hi Elijah Filip,

Why did you remove the landuse=residential tag ? It seems to be appropriate in this case. While the tag area=yes is very vague and not usable. Moreover the description is not understandable.

Moreover this contribution seems to be an import from an external base (which would explain the difficult understanding of the latter). Be aware that there is a special procedure for importing data: osm.wiki/Import

If you have more questions you can contact the community: osm.wiki/Contact_channels.

I just realized that I didn't specify which way it was. I will rectify this right away: osm.org/way/804845451 .

Hello and thank you for your contribution! The oneway tag is misinformed, could you please tell me if this is a one-way street, and if so, in which direction? You can learn more about this tag on this page of the wiki: osm.wiki/JA:Key:oneway. Thanks again!
