164951186 | 4 months ago | Hi user_5359, Mapillary is a Swedish firm developing blurring software for faces and other GDPR-sensitive elements on photos;
Looks like the workings behind the tag in the iD editor to enter the photo reference were changed w/o alerting users. The 'share this image' link on www.mapillary.com/app looks like https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1094850792170039, Why this got mangled? Have again added tag=Mapillary and copied the share this picture link from the Mapillary website. Thank you for picking up, as it is always harder to retrace steps when asked years later ... Met vriendelijke groet (Dutch for 'with friendly greeting'),

161443025 | 5 months ago | After thought : surprised by the existence of the Tomtom traces 21 Dec'24 - 16 Jan'25, as slip was inaccessible from early July'24, then razed and replaced : would you have a way of reaching out to TomTom to alert them, please? (seen the 'private' email address on the 'about you' page, so : yes!) One way to 'publish' noticed but not acted on changes : dated notes on a uMap page, publish once in a while? Best, |
161443025 | 5 months ago | Thank you for the prompt reply ; mention Mapillsry as that is often fresher than Bing or Google, as local and passing-by photographers can upload on a daily basis whereas the big names send out their scouts once in a while, then seem to take a while to process and publish. Having said that, Antwerpen is unbelievably active updating and rearranging the underground and road infrastructure, shifting away from the reliance on motorcars introduced ca. 1970 to pedestrian, bicycle and public transport. Could use help with updating, but this often needs local ground work to know what needs to be changed as opposed to what is largely cosmetic. There are several regional Flemish or national Belgian government sources available: in iD one could look for 'DigitaalVlaanderen' : 'most recent' and 'preliminary' aerial imagery, and 'GRB', which is based on official Roads and Land Ownership Registry data. But even GRB still shows the grey line for the slip road. That makes mappers undoing recent 'real world' changes to re-introduce the former situation a bane of editing OSM. Adding concise notes what was changed and referring to photos would be one way, but also requires knowledge of the Wegcode = highway code ... ... so for now just cycling round, two cameras on the helmet to at least document what has changed and hope a distant mapper will pick the correct sequence : for example https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=897302919224104. Thank you for picking up on the right turn restriction. Met vriendelijke groet,
