Section of High Street between New Row and St Paul's Square has the one way direction reversed i.e. traffic can turn left from St Paul's Square until further notice and presumably open to all vehicles.

This short section of the High Street is closed off until further notice.

After a serious fire in the flats above The Royal Bar on 15 June 2025, there will be much disruption in this area. Business closures, roads closed, bus routes altered, etc, etc. This is expected to last for up to six months as at least one entire block (the corner building inc. The Royal Bar) has to be completely demolished. The situation in the wider area is likely to change on a daily basis.
