I apologize for the confusion. I must have visited right before they removed the walkways.

Thank you for being so responsive.

Welcome to OpenStreetMap! I was reviewing this edit and it seems like you could have deleted good data by accident. The deleted data is depicted in red: https://i.imgur.com/WyHux9I.png

Based on a recent visit to Rowan, plus recent aerial imagery, the foot path that was deleted still exists. https://imgur.com/a/zld8d

Accordingly, I have reinstated the paths.

If you have any questions about mapping, please feel free to send me a message.

Hi! Thanks for your edit. You tagged these woods as landuse=forest. It can be confusing, but the forest tag is usually used for areas of land managed for forestry. You may consider using natural=wood instead (which is for marking areas covered by trees). See osm.wiki/Forest#Which_tag_should_be_used.3F

Hi Alex. Thanks for the edits - they look great except for one suggestion. OpenStreetMap has a 'one feature, one element' principle. It's just what it sounds like: one feature in real life should be mapped with only one OSM element.

in this case, there are two OSM elements for this feature. There is a node (point) for the the Church, and then there is an area (building) surrounding it. The ideal way to map this would be to move all tags to the area and delete the point.

I made these changes on your behalf. I hope to see more edits from you!

Hi Sarah. Thanks for the edit. Looks like you accidentally drew an area while making this edit.

See https://i.imgur.com/GJ8Ox55.png

I corrected this for you.

Thank you for helping to improve OpenStreetMap!

Hi, I noticed your changeset comment is "Adding new construction road". You may consider using the highway=construction tag if the road is not currently usable.

osm.wiki/Key:construction#Highways

In a nutshell, you currently have this highway tagged as highway=residential.

Using the construction tag, you'd tag as: highway=construction AND construction=residential.

No problem! If you ever have any questions I would be happy to try to answer them. Shoot me a message or an email (email address is in my profile).

Hi Bryan, thanks for the edit. Be careful! You accidentally deleted the `building` tag. It's an easy mistake to make, but the `building` tag is important.

osm.wiki/Key:building

I corrected the edit for you. I hope to see more edits coming from you in the future!

Thanks for the edit! Be careful: one of the road networks you added didn't intersect properly (which causes routing problems). I fixed it for you.

Thanks for adding this! I split the building into 4 segments to reflect reality, and I added the parking lot.

I improved your edits and added the Wawa parking lot and gas station. Thanks!

Looks great! Two suggestions for the future:

1) You may consider using more specific building tags (only if you know what type of building it is that you're drawing). https://i.imgur.com/VOC2jtr.png

2) You may consider squaring the building area. This makes it look nicer on a map.

Hi Matt!

I saw the roundabout you drew/modified here: osm.org/#map=19/39.78745/-75.05067

It looks overly complex compared to osm.org/#map=19/39.83639/-74.92779

What are your thoughts on simplifying it?

Hi Luis! Thanks for your message. The way splits to help to improve navigation for users heading south on RT 73.

If not for this split, navigation would be confusing.

Example: 'In 300 metres, turn right on Kresson Rd'

'In 300 metres, keep straight on Kresson Gibbsboro Rd'

Hi there, thanks again for contributing to OSM. It does not look like the highway network connected to Taunton Lake Road here: osm.org/#map=19/39.86010/-74.87333

I will be making the necessary corrections.

Hi, thanks for contributing to OSM. it looks like you tagged this as area=yes. It should be building=yes or building=kindergarten. I will make the needed correction.
