pathways that connect here were added at a time (2017-11-25) when Bing image appeared to be locally shifted 3-4 metres to west of reality

There is also a greenway along here, which I believe (from other examples) counts as a footpath/bike path.

After crossing 48th/McKnight and going through the gate marked in the note immediately to the SSW, one finds oneself on a path, which ascends here and joins the cycleway. This gate and path make an important link for cyclists and pedestrians.

Gate here; path up the hill for pedestrians an bicycles (not a car-width gate). Continues footway marked as crossing McKnight Blvd.
The cul-de-sac thing right beside the gate is a fenced concreted area used to store snow in winter, and piles of city landscaping materials (gravel, woodchips, etc) in summer. The wooden non-see-through fence is a sort of square spiral, opening towards the road, and joins on to the chainlink fence running alongside the road.

Holland St. is de facto a bike route between John Laurie Park and Egerts Park. As in, an official bike route leads off both ends of it.
