56923137 | over 7 years ago | Hi, In the future, it would be great if you could put a space in the postal code "N4S3B1" => "N4S 3B1" to follow the official Canada Post format. Thanks. |

56914311 | over 7 years ago | Seems like 2595 Cléroux Crescent should be 2495 based on the sequence. I've changed it. |
56454555 | over 7 years ago | Hello. I'm actually in Ottawa. :-) But fixing up other parts of the country too. |
56785404 | over 7 years ago | Thanks. There shouldn't be many existing streets within the city that are missing name:fr |
56785404 | over 7 years ago | Please don't forget to set name:fr tag for all streets within the City of Ottawa. I have added it for this road. |

56509190 | over 7 years ago | We can discuss on Friday... |
56509190 | over 7 years ago | Some units are letters like "PH" for "Penthouse". Like you I started adding everything into "addr:unit" but then I found parks have a QUALIFIER. Having a unit for parks didn't make sense, so I switched to the algorithm I previously mentioned. For shopping malls, I think probably we should use unit... but I'm not sure. I didn't change those. eg n4018321997 = "102 C McEwen Avenue" should be "addr:unit=C". What do you think? These are not in the city's address file. |
56509190 | over 7 years ago | Hi Danny, I love this collaboration between you and me on fixing up the city. I hope to see you at the meetup on Friday. You can get JOSM to show the unit number. Install the "QuickLabel" plugin, then View>Quick Label and add "addr:unit" into the column on the right, click "apply on startup" and save. As to your question, the city calls these letters QUALIFIER and not UNIT. Generally when they use QUALIFIER, then I put it in the addr:housenumber field, when they use UNIT, then I put it in the addr:unit field. The city mostly uses units in apartment buildings I have found. This is the CSV file:
I'm open to other suggestions how to interpret this, but this is mostly how I've tagged things. Sometimes I disagree with how the city classifies things and have an ongoing email chain with them on issues in the address file that I think they should fix. I'm happy to discuss more on Friday at the meetup if you're there. My "list of possible errors" (comparing OSM with address.csv) keeps getting shorter with all the great work you are doing! |
56730513 | over 7 years ago | You added 2 buildings with address 170 Waterbridge Drive. w471314977,w564775328 I changed one of them to 172 Waterbridge, based on city address data. |
56637600 | over 7 years ago | No worries. I already changed them. Just for next time. |
52943914 | over 7 years ago | Is there a reason that richmond road bicycle=no? |
55616688 | over 7 years ago | ok, changed. |
55616688 | over 7 years ago | It seems strange to me that all of w554577671 is Apple Saddlery? Maybe it is part of that area? |
56637600 | over 7 years ago | Hello, I see you added a lot of phone numbers in a format like 1-450-546-3256. It would be good to add "+" in front in the future to make "+1-450-546-3256" as per osm.wiki/Key:phone |
56486778 | over 7 years ago | Hi, I noticed you added a lot of phone numbers using the format similar to 0016133827666. Better to use +1-613-382-7666 in the future. See osm.wiki/Key:phone |
56164742 | over 7 years ago | 3375 Eagleson Road doesn't seem to be anywhere near Eagleson Road. Are you sure? w559578951 |
56651586 | over 7 years ago | I think you have the wrong street name here. Should be Acceptance Place, not Meadowbreeze Drive. |
56537903 | over 7 years ago | Yes, I know the statuses. usually when they mark it open, the road is actually driveable. |
