Culvert exists here. As does Brierly Beck.
See 1897 OS map for reference.

Part of this route follows the beck, east and west of the walkway, and part follows the traces of Brierly Drive.

The public right of way shown on the Durham County definitive map has been obliterated by new housing construction. I suppose the RoW has been altered, or will be reinstated once building is done.

However, the line of travel taken by walkers is considerably different, and is traced on the gpx file I uploaded earlier, 2021_11_08_1256_RagpathWood.gpx

It crosses a meadow, then skirts a line of Heras fencing, and meets the former path at a wrecked stile.

There are a couple of alternate routes heading to the Deerness Valley line

I have followed the line of Durham County definitive Right-of-Way map between the Ragpath Wood bridleway and the Biggin Farm track. I have separately tried to follow the route as marked on here. Neither one is a clearly evident route, though the PRoW is easy to follow along the field edge.

The GPX file is 2021_11_08_1256_RagpathWood.gpx

I propose a realignment of the existing route, even though neither route is continuous on the ground.
