113546359 | over 3 years ago | Yes, that's why I left a note on the node and caused this whole discussion; in French glacée is ice, so I assume that's where the confusion has come from, unless there really is a tiny glacier within a shop on the French coast... |
113546359 | over 3 years ago | Yeah sorry, I spotted ( osm.org/node/8929448769 ) which looks like a clear error when looking for the one I was trying to add and thought it was worth flagging it before I forgot about it. Apologies for the spam. |
104782599 | about 4 years ago | Hi Dan, I went and confirmed collection times and took a picture (which will be there until the note is closed):
Fixed in:
I assume you mean both apertures? Unfortunately as we didn't have a note I forgot to check that, but looking at the photo, the left one is clearly 1001 which would normally be the lower number I think. |
104782599 | about 4 years ago | Hi Dan, Well spotted. Although I think you mean I've actually entered 07:00/13:15 i.e. 12 hours out on the weekday side. There's a tiny chance there is a bug in StreetComplete 32.0-alpha2, but only in the resurvey part, as I've successfully entered 24 hour times for a new postbox with that version. Realistically it's more likely given the very wet conditions when I surveyed it, either my finger slipped or the phone misregistered it. Feel free to revert the changeset, or I'll try and get back that way fairly soon to resurvey it more carefully, but I imagine it's my error looking at the history. SC asks you to enter it in full during the resurvey, hence the potential introduction of errors. |
87850400 | about 4 years ago | Hi @zorque, I see you did an update to osm.org/way/345630059 in this changeset. It's currently tagged as:
I assume since you made it vacant it's no longer a restaurant and this should be removed? |
103153280 | over 4 years ago | Hi @ThLwpstr have you checked it's been renamed again and that map isn't just out of date (also I assume the copyright is okay for taking their data)? Only their website says it's still Heathcote Street:
Also the location seems to have migrated South again, last week there was definitely a bus stop pole near to osm.org/#map=19/51.52679/-0.11805 See osm.org/note/2292485 (although the shelter has now gone). It might be @harg that migrated it's position, I'm not quite sure. |
103157165 | over 4 years ago | That's as maybe, but it's still far easier to use than trawling through the wiki which is often contradictory at best. The presets have been spun out into a separate repo ( https://github.com/openstreetmap/id-tagging-schema ), I suspect for precisely that reason so the developers can concentrate on actually writing code and not arguing about tags. TBH I only added the building as I wanted to add a defibrillator ( osm.org/node/8641874348 ) which was on the edge of the building so thought I should add the whole thing. |
103157165 | over 4 years ago | Apologies @DaveF , I was using iD which didn't seem to have a preset, but I've now found that it exists but it's just not searchable:

95833243 | over 4 years ago | Good luck, happy to give some input if it helps when you've opened the issue. |
95833243 | over 4 years ago | Hi @SK53, I wonder if a lot of these were done by StreetComplete. I don't know the logic behind it, but you could try raising an issue and you might be able to get the value added automatically if it's normal UK tagging:
|
95574151 | over 4 years ago | Yeah I should be able to do that @SK53. Do you want to leave a note and then I'll actually see it in the app and I might remember! |
92534776 | almost 5 years ago | For info this isn't actually correct, I got caught out on this too. building=terrace is for when you've mapped the whole run of terrace as one building:
@harg's building=residential or better yet building=house:

86912278 | about 5 years ago | Is this actually a choker? In which case I think it should be a point on the way it's restricting osm.wiki/Key:traffic_calming#By_causing_lateral_deviation I assume the bollards aren't really 2m wide? osm.wiki/Key:width so you probably want maxwidth:
|
86912245 | about 5 years ago | Great |
86912245 | about 5 years ago | There's also osm.wiki/Tag:building%3Dpavilion if it was built as such, and is used that way. |
81106089 | over 5 years ago | Yeah Ctrl+F5 fixed it, that's curious given I'd not visited that bit of the map before seeing the comment. I guess there was still some delay in it re-rendering and I got the old cached one in the past. |
81106089 | over 5 years ago | Ah apologies, the rendered map hasn't updated or I'm doing something daft or similar. |
81106089 | over 5 years ago | Is this not still a dead end, as you've got two one way roads in opposite directions at the corner, or is there actually another missing way out of the parking on the right? |
71198588 | about 6 years ago | That was a sign IRL, when does a sign become a map? Is a multi-directional signpost acceptable? Would the key from that map be acceptable for spellings at least? I guess I need to find some fancy assistance stuff to run on Android to aid gathering such info when I'm out and about. |
71198588 | about 6 years ago | Hi Robert, I'll admit I didn't walk up to that specific street, but I did grab a photo of one of the maps in the surrounding areas as I wanted to add the name of a friend's block on there: I might be able to get them to wander past and double-check, but given that potential typo exists twice on the map, I'd be somewhat inclined to trust it. |
