Bonjour. Merci pour votre contribution à OSM. Pourtant faites à attention à l'usage de waterway=canal qui est plutôt pour des cours d'eau généralement assez larges pour le transit en bâteau. Pour les fossés dans les rizières/zones humides utilisez plutôt waterway=ditch.

Voyez l'usage des différentes valeurs de la clé waterway=* sur sa page wiki - osm.wiki/FR:Key:waterway

Bonjour. Merci pour vos contributions. S'il vous plaît ne vous référez pas à l'imagerie Bing pour supprimer des bâtiments ajoutés avec Maxar. Nous savons que Bing est beaucoup plus ancienne et des bâtiments se sont créés entre la date de capture de Bing et celle de Maxar.

You're right. But here the objects are in french speaking countries that's why I'm quite sure it was a typo.
About the names, yes "Château d'Eau" and "Station Shell" or "Station Total" seem to be just descriptions but I'm not sure about that, as I haven't seen what's displayed in the field.

What I changed in this changeset, in "name":
TOTAL -> Total
SHELL -> Shell
Chateau d'Eau -> Château d'Eau
BANGWE LAMDJI -> Bangwe Lamdji
Hotel de Ville de Tahoua -> Hôtel de Ville de Tahoua

No, it's not about the shape, it's about likely bad written key/value. For example, Osmose signals all name=* values written all in uppercase, probably with the argument that acronyms should go to short_name=* and name=* shouldn't have an acronym.

I was confused as these were listed in Osmose issues (http://osmose.openstreetmap.fr/en/byuser/Privatemajory). However, I've just checked and the tag seems to be in use and shouldn't be a problem. Now I regret I "fixed" these "issues". Please take my apologies and feel free to revert my changesets if needed.

I wouldn't say using dots is inappropriate. And yes, some organisations do use it officially while some don't. Finally I think either way is OK. But on the OSM side, I think it would just be better to uniformize such common acronyms for when you do a query later. It's only a personal point of view though, I might be wrong 😉 And for the WWF example, can you point me to?

Hi Conor. Thanks for the topic. I've never seen in any document (official or scientific), even those specific to forestry, where VOI (acronym for "Vondron'Olona Ifotony") was spelt "V.O.I.". This is the same for most commonly used acronyms in malagasy names such as EPP, CEG, FJKM, FLM, EKAR... But while we're at this, maybe the name tag should have "Vondron'olona Ifotony Mitia sy Miaro ny Ala" / "VOI Mitia sy Miaro ny Ala", and "VOI MMA" / "V.O.I M.M.A" should be put in a short_name tag instead?

Bonjour. Dans ce groupe de modifications vous avez tracé un batiment (building=yes) au dessus de batiments déjà présents et on a ainsi des superpositions de batiments! Voudriez-vous prendre soin de cela svp? Merci ;-)

Concernant les critères, dans la documentation sur la page wiki des tags pour Madagascar (osm.wiki/FR:Madagascar_tagging_guidelines Section "Réseau routier"), on s'est convenu de mettre en "highway=primary" le réseau 'structurant' qui comprend les quatre RNP (RN 2, 4, 6, 7) et en "highway=secondary" les Routes Nationales non RNP à numérotation apparente. La RN3 semble entrer dans cette dernière catégorie.

En regardant dans les historiques, je remarque que cette portion de la RN 3 (chemins 430093441 et 28824029) change de classement sans cesse entre secondary et primary. Je pense que ce devrait être secondary comme l'original et comme le reste de la route vers Anjozorobe.
