Route is in place on the ground and has been since approx 2010 (many part earlier).

Ranger signing in place from Strood west to NCN1 and vice-versa.

Hopefully I have amended part of the mapping for NCN179 Heron Trail Cycle Route.

I believe I have deleted the Heron Trail designation from the note point westward down Four Elms Hill whilst leaving all roads and other features intact.

I believe I have marked the Heron Trail along Kitchener Road, without disturbing anything else.

Whsilst I'm sure I've done much better than my last attempt the final part is beyond my skills.

From Kitchener Road the Heron Trail continues south on Chattenden Lane, crosses the A228 via a pair of toucan crossings and then continues east to Main Road Chattenden on a shared foot/cycleway.

I'd appreciate it if someone can join the two ends back together.

RCN 18 is now formally numbered and signposted on the ground as NCN179 Heron Trail.

Attempted to edit in a minor re-routing at Chattenden and removal of "short-cut" through Cliffe Woods. "Short-cut" officially demised from NCN but as route is entirely on road / bridleway it remains open for users.
