The Google map route to Hook Norton directs traffic from the A361 on the 2nd Swerford turn from Banbury and takes one down Cow Lane which is unsuitable for anything other than a car let allown a comercial vehicle of any size. After a right and then a left at T junctions the map takes you down a lane to another T junction on a steep slope which is surrounded by about 3 springs and thereby is constantly wet. In freezing conditions it is like a scating rink.
Looking at Google maps all the routes through the village bare little resemblance to what can only be described as better routs and the map of the whole area could be much improved with little effort.
