This Crossing point at Doubledykes along with Balgonie, Waulkmill, Tullybreck and Durievale will close permanently on August 31.

A new shared-use path will be constructed between Kelty and Cowdenbeath, starting at the Fife Council boundary on the B996 and ending at the roundabout on Perth Road.

The existing narrow on-road cycle lanes on the A909 will be removed.

A survey will be required to check on the progress.

I'm pretty sure this quarry/coal mine no longer exist and has been mostly restored to farmland.
