Looked with Google streetview and on the east side there's a shield over it saying "passaggio pedonale verso via del Circuito". Suggest you mark the entrances both as barrier, fenced off, so it won't be used in route planners for city hikers.

91219975 almost 5 years ago

This pedestrian tunnel has been closed (fenced off) for probably 2 years if not longer. Reason unknown, one could speculate to include the 3rd rail track construction, but the closure was long before that work began. Anyway 20 meters north the via Teramo has a good 2 meter wide pedestrian way now which makes that tunnel redundant. Not lit, a sinister way to use at night.

OK, I'll be patient (I'm not by nature, so if definitive info comes along before your return, I'll be going ahead. Right now plugging in SS5 Rome to Pescara has this gap at the said section, whereas the section from Bussi to Pescara is included fine although the number there is SR5.

Stay safe, and do wear your mask, they protect against flu too, big drop in the US of flu cases and fatalities.

Just squeezing myself in and apologies for intruding, was researching the SS5 renumbering to SR5, actually left a note on the map for all to see inviting comment as I don't necessarily agree with this having been done, all road signs on and pointing to the Tiburtina still showing SS5. Saw yoo did some work on the SS5 and discovered 'relations' and see there is a break in the SS5 route from just west of Carsoli then east towards Tagliacozzo. Any idea how to fix this? old_ref SS5/ ref SR5 seem to be there when spot checking and digging too deep i get "Sorry, the data for the relation with the id 31311, took too long to retrieve".

Anyway, just trying to understand why the road from a Bussi junction to Pescara was renamed SR5, some piece from Tivoli was, but really there being no consistency.

Thanks for your attention.

Looks good. Too late I saw a lot of segments had spelling in the route/track name. Correct is: Ciclovia Adriatica - BI6 . It was probably me, not important, fix and move on. :O)

91124002 almost 5 years ago

Excellent. Note that BI-6 is also known with icn_ref = EV8 icn=yes. If you could add those tags to your change set saves me from searching them out again.

Since both icn_ref and ncn_ref have a description that icn=yes & ncn=yes note respective I'm not sure if those tags need to be used at all but does not harm.

cheers

Kindly redraw your ferry route to land in Pescara harbor and not miles south. Also the land route is completely cross country rather than actual route. Rather than actually drawing the land route, you can add route coding to the the streets and motorway, less confusing other editors.

Thanks

This changeset seems to touch on various indoor climbing facilities from Perth, Scotland to a spot on a Greek peninsula. If you make changes, could you please do the edit & save one by one and not all together in a single one.and save. Everyone in this square area from NW Europe to SE Europe gets to see your work in their history.

Another discussion highlights this issue about cross border operators and are not happy about that. Certainly, I'm in Italy and only edit spots where physically and care to save them individually..

If you did not do that tag change on all these climbing sites, you might want to investigate why that happens, but the seeming consensus is, don't make combined edits that go beyond a country border. It helps clean up everyone's volunteer work on OSM and not cause the question "What did s/he change'.

Thanks for your consideration.

PS Was not the first time your name popped up in my little spot..

This change set pertains to an edit in the UK, yet the cadre it affects is listed in history view for anyone who looks at the history list in the square from that UK spot to Auckland new Zealand. Similar when I max zoomed to my little spot on the planet I see in the history list someone who made an edit in pripyat. What the heck?

Did wonder why an edit on something in the US showed up in the history of my little town in Italy. In fact I see many of these baffling cases.

Just an observation: Never knew the reference SS714, only know "Asse Attrezzato".and Circonvallazione.as per https://www.facebook.com/asseattrezzatochpe/

Someone is going around changing references from SS to SR most notably the SS5 is now shown in OSM as SR5. All the road signs I see are still showing SS, today cycled on SS81, SS263, SS539 and on the way back near Chieti noticed a specific big traffic sign Via Tiburtina Valeria SS5. It's confusing.

90519912 almost 5 years ago

I come from a small 50,000 citizen town. The immediate area of about 10 x 17 kilometers has over 750 km of cycle track. What you see here is of permanent bafflement, to include the painted path along SS5 and Viale Vittorio Em.II not to speak of cycle tracks where you have signs such as at the airport and along the lungomare at Francavilla with max. speed 10km. Sometimes I have the feeling car drivers just don't register at all you're there. The safest to cycle is out in the countryside. They are very courteous, there, but else "sempre in fretta".
Take care and thx for pointing me to me slip of the edit board.

Strange, as I was the one who originally drew the road separation and later added the traffic lights, but I did find out today that my web browser does not fully clear the cache on exit and then on next visit pulls stale OSM images. Anyway momentarily it looks fine but for the 3rd traffic light I saw there. The lights are controlled by the plant whenever trucks arrive or depart. It's a very busy road.

The tracking back who did what and when I've not fully mastered yet. Will catch on
Thx for your reply.

90519912 almost 5 years ago

Me neither. Undone the road sections merge with the bridge.
The lining on that road after the resurfacing with fresh asphalt is crazy. When turning onto it it looks like 3 lanes ATM, that's why I noted the purpose unknown. A painted bi-directional cycle track? They're clueless in Pescara as how to design safe and logical organized cycle tracks, let alone crossings.

90421563 almost 5 years ago

Hi, any reason you reversed the one way direction north side and removed the traffic lights from the new situation of the brand new plant situated south of that SS602 section? The entrance road to that plant also has a traffic light but could not remember it was plant side or at the traffic island which I will put in after passing by again.

thx

Confirmed 2/ "A Grande Albergo" on sighting at Montesilvano FS station. The bus stop is a shelter with bench, no timetable or other line nr signs. Next will look inside station if there is some "to buses". There's a few more things to fix at the FS side roundabout v.v. crossings and via spagna entrance and exit which are split. The cycle track has a one person wide pedestrian way just painted directly next to cycle way. For lack of drawing space, guess make the track dual function. Busstation side theres no sidewalk at all, the busstop is hidden in bush over growth and looks like 19th century. Incroyable.

Loaded my 8.25.2020 GPS Trace and it looks very well aligned with the main SS5, feeder and off ramps.
As I've noted before, I use multiple image providers to cross verify and they all show a round traffic island at centre.
The roundabout is perfect 3.14159 Pi round, so knock yourself out if you have not done already adjusting the situation.
While we all endeavour to get it right the first time every time, perfect it wont be, so glad you like to be my shadow.

Should read "verified in google maps"

Thanks for sharing, but I'm now cross checking multiple sat imageries before making drastic changes. So happened to have made photos from the Capodacqua side across the roundabout of Capestrano and the GPS tracing which say it's not there where it's drawn. Was like 10 minutes there to figure out where to cycle next, which was eventually dir. Capestrano, then Di Loreto church left, zero doubt as all imagery matched in alignment.
As for reverting someone's change sets, kindly read https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/731/how-can-i-revert-a-changeset

See the edit was undone without waiting for answer which is in the satellite imagery.
