Oh I hope there are plans to restore the roadway, I can't imagine the Bailey bridges lasting forever. But the state of California has some severe budget issues so it might not be very high on the state's budget process to remove quite a few tons of rock then put up some huge concrete retaining wall to prevent similar slides in the future. I'd debating on the construction part myself, maybe access=no or access=private might be more appropriate.

I did update it to disused=yes, access=no, but I do hope Caltrans gets off their butts and restore one of the key access points to most beautiful spot in the world (to me) Yosemite National Park.

Koniosis, I ran into something similar on the Yosemite Highway 140, a landslide covered the road and it is "temporarily" rerouted to the other side of the river (its been 3 years now)...

In this case it is metal chain link fence with gates, so in my case this was applicable.
