139637234 | about 2 years ago | Hello. The location of the park seems to have been unintentionally moved in this changeset. I have restored the original location in a new changeset: osm.org/changeset/139638061 |
139601103 | about 2 years ago | Hello. Thanks for adding the Pune Metro schedule information. Generally, information related to a metro line is included as part of the route relation. So I've gone ahead and moved the `interval` related tags to the route relations in this changeset: osm.org/changeset/139602133 I recently came across this site which might be a more convenient method for adding similar public transport schedule information: https://jungle-bus.github.io/Busy-Hours/#/ |
135489619 | over 2 years ago | This was indeed an error during a copy and paste on my part. I have fixed it in this changeset: osm.org/changeset/135544755 Thanks for mentioning this! |
133073868 | over 2 years ago | Hello! Thanks for your contribution to OSM! It's great to see OSM being used as a platform for documenting civic issues. Nice to see that the `survey:date` tag was added . Generally the value is written in ISO 8601 with only the date specified, without the timestamp. I've trimmed the timestamps on the nodes where it was included. Regarding the `status` tag, while it is valid, in this case the `operational_status` tag would be more appropriate. I've already gone ahead and changed it to `operational_status`, but if you feel `status` is better, I'd like to hear why. I will revert it back to `status` if needed. For reference, this is the changeset in which I made the above changes: osm.org/changeset/133091628 |
132847741 | over 2 years ago | Hello, In this changeset, it looks like a couple of roads have had access related tags removed. Was this intentional? Based on my knowledge, the previous tagging of access=private was correct since the roads are inside a gated community. The bicycle=yes and foot=yes tags were also valid in my opinion. Few of the roads where I noticed this change: Additionally, creating changesets with a smaller bbox is appreciated, especially in this kind of changeset where most of the ways that are changed are from a very small geographical region compared to the bbox. Regards,

132097561 | over 2 years ago | Hi Ivan, Thanks for pointing this out. It looks like there are lots of these amenity=school nodes with invalid place=* values in Bengaluru: https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1rAZ Most of them have been added by a user as part of some sort of import a few years ago: osm.org/user/Nitesh_B/history I'll probably try to do a cleanup of all these invalid place tags over the next few days. |
130301495 | over 2 years ago | Hello, Thanks for improving the relation I had drawn. I've fixed few more parts of it, but it's still a bit incorrect since the entirety of some of the subareas are not part of the PMR boundary. On page 17 of this PMR Development Plan document, there's an image showing the exact extent of PMR: https://punezp.mkcl.org/user/pages/images/doc/DPReport2021vol1forUpload.pdf Since those boundary ways internal to the subareas are not on OSM already, those would need to be drawn before the PMR boundary itself can be represented accurately. For now though, I think this is a fairly accurate representation. Regards |
130270407 | over 2 years ago | Looks like the Vespucci data you've got is outdated a bit. I already added these features yesterday: Tower: osm.org/node/10273675229 Pitch: osm.org/way/1123374012 |
129959076 | over 2 years ago | Hello. I noticed that you have added a new node for the Krishnarajapuram station. There was already a way with the same tags (along with a few additional tags) mapped, so I think this extra/duplicate station is not needed and can be deleted. For reference, this is the original way object I'm referring to: osm.org/way/1104358047 |
126271488 | over 2 years ago | Hello. I noticed that you have mapped an under construction natural gas pipeline in this changeset. Was this an approximate trace done manually or is there a source available which you could use as reference? I'm interested in mapping similar natural gas pipelines in other parts of India, so any pointers would be helpful to get data for the rest of the country. Thanks! |
128801092 | over 2 years ago | I think it's better to tag the complete but as of now inaccessible sections of road (like the CDP road sections) as highway=construction. In terms of rendering I think it looks odd and that it could mess up routing engines so it's better to leave it as under construction. I've changed the tagging in an edit of mine for now, but if there's any reason that you feel having it as highway=primary is more accurate, I would be happy to reconsider this tagging choice. 127390775 | almost 3 years ago | Hello! Welcome to OpenStreetMap! I noticed that you have been adding a lot of highways and roads in Bangalore, which is nice to see! There are a couple of cases though where I've been seeing roads being tagged incorrectly, or roads which I know don't exist, based on ground experience, are getting added to the map. Like in this case, the roads which have been marked inside Lalbagh as Residential Roads, are unlikely to be so since the park is primarily meant to be used by pedestrians for walking. Please go through the Wiki for more details on how a particular road can best be tagged: osm.wiki/Highways#Classification I have also noticed that you're adding the #ola hashtag to every changeset. Is this mapping activity that you're involved with being organized by Ola? If yes, it would be good to go through the Organized Editing Wiki page: osm.wiki/Organised_Editing Also, general tips and good practices for mapping on OSM that can be helpful are available on these Wiki pages: In case of any questions or if you are not sure how to proceed with certain types of mapping, please approach the OSM India community https://community.osm.be/resources/asia/india/ |

119224821 | over 3 years ago | Changeset comment should have been Blue Line |
118574075 | over 3 years ago | Removing railway=station and station=subway seems to have broken the Subway Preprocessor (https://archive.ph/eSrse). I've created stop_area relations for the stations, I'm guessing that will fix the errors (osm.org/changeset/118703116). |
118399649 | over 3 years ago | Thanks for updating the Pune Metro system on OSM! I'm so happy to see more people mapping public transport systems in India. |
96804544 | over 3 years ago | Hi ivanbranco, Looks like I made a mistake earlier when I copied the values on to the way from the school node in that area. I have removed the place tag now. Thanks for the info! |
112059220 | almost 4 years ago | Hey. Thanks for the information, I have corrected it now in this changeset: |
103048884 | almost 4 years ago | Hello! Nice work mapping the building. Looks like you added a subway_entrance as well (osm.org/node/8634835218). Is this entrance connected to the railway station or is it an entrance to the Ripon building itself? subway_entrance is generally used for entrances to railway/public transport stations, so entrance=staircase would be more appropriate if this is an entrance to a tunnel into the Ripon building. |
