127437257 | almost 3 years ago | Also clean up some excessive nodes along straight boundary ways |
126911274 | almost 3 years ago | To make it consistent with tagging for the national chain, The iD editor wants to put name=Smith's, branch=Marketplace - I accepted that suggestion not noticing your recent update until now. I reverted my change back to the way you had it. I know there's something wonky going on between the two Logan Smith's right? One is "marketplace" and one is just Smith's or something like that? |
124152599 | about 3 years ago | Just out of curiosity, what does lidar gps mean? Are you using some kind of aerial survey depth data? Very cool if so!! |
123533505 | about 3 years ago | Sorry for the huge changeset bbox, it looks like by touching the Snake River relation it's included the entire thing. |
122442717 | about 3 years ago | Are you adding these all by hand!? That's a crazy amount of detail, nice job either way! |
122437662 | about 3 years ago | Kind of a funny coincidence we both mapped this within a couple days of each other. After however many years of inactivity up there |
121715321 | about 3 years ago | I don't think I would call the bleachers here a building. I'm not aware of any underground space below them, but I could be wrong. Possibly building=grandstand would be more appropriate if so? Although these don't have a roof over them. |
113347512 | over 3 years ago | Gotcha. I guess I had assumed that unclassified was more of an "unknown/untagged" tag but I'm remembering now that there already is an actual unknown for roadways. So I'll leave it. |
113347512 | over 3 years ago | Hyrum's 300 S seems to me like a residential or tertiary road like any other, is it OK if I change it to that? Unless there's something I'm not getting. |
119370990 | over 3 years ago | Nice, I didn't know this could be done! |
116366076 | over 3 years ago | ... designated exclusively for either foot or bike traffic |
115768411 | over 3 years ago | Maybe just a matter of preference? This area osm.org/#map=13/38.5260/-115.3446 in Nevada has enormous swaths as wood, which does add to high-level maps in my opinion. However the inaccuracy of the border is poor obviously. |
115655313 | over 3 years ago | Use highway=trunk for high performance or high importance roads that don't meet the requirement for motorway. In different countries, either performance or importance is used as the defining criterion for trunk... |
115655313 | over 3 years ago | I don't think I have the experience to give an opinion, but here is what the wiki says about US trunks: Trunk is the proper classification for major through routes that lack full access control, regardless of their number of lanes, speed limit, median (or lack thereof) etc. Most controlled-access highways without adequate speed or travel lanes or with obstructions should be designated highway=trunk. Typically, trunk in the US has been meant an expressway, ie, basically a freeway, but it might have intersections. Or it might be fully controlled, but only a single carriageway. Or it's dual carriageway, but only one lane on a carriageway. |
114405970 | over 3 years ago | In some situations (Not for this street specifically) while on site I have seen private roads that are used by multiple households. For example sometimes a small clump of households are extended family. Would that count as a driveway or residential road? |
114459907 | over 3 years ago | Feel free to comment or roll back these changesets if my landuse edits are excessive or incorrect. |
114269360 | over 3 years ago | I'll make sure to include direction when adding stop/yield signs in the future! Thanks for doing that. |
113712281 | over 3 years ago | Thanks for the explanation! I appreciate it. |
113538030 | over 3 years ago | A while ago I went back and forth on what tags the paths on campus should have, I eventually settled on following this bike map: https://www.usu.edu/abb/images/Printable-Bike-Map-Trifold_Page_2.jpg
What do you think of this? Or should they all be the cycle + foot designated? Not sure. |
113508688 | over 3 years ago | Got it, thanks for the explanation! |
