Why WOMEN are pushing for a safe and inclusive space in OSM | To keep it simple, if you are a (white, western) male and know you are not doing anything wrong, you wouldn’t be offended by this Call and don’t have to be defensive of yourself. I hope that is clear. |

Regarding the Call to Take Action and Confront Systemic Offensive Behavior in the OSM Community | @Sanderd17 Thanks for this information. 13:00 UTC has worked for us in the Philippines. I am not just proposing a specific time only. I am proposing that the board would look at different alternatives to be more accessible to everyone. For example, they can have alternating meeting times (15:00 UTC this month, next month can be 10:00 UTC so those who were not able to attend this month may have the chance to attend next month.) Accessible not only the timing, but also the platform being used. Thanks. |

Thoughts on the OSMF Board and OSM Community | Harry, thank you for listening and continuing a healthy discussion on the topic - this is the platform we want to achieve. :) |

Regarding the Call to Take Action and Confront Systemic Offensive Behavior in the OSM Community | Hi Allan, would the board consider scheduling the meeting in an accessible time? As a global project with people from different timezone, we should find ways “how” to be more accessible so members could get involved (and be included). The timing of the latest board meeting as well as the upcoming AGM is not very friendly in the Asia-Pacific timezone. Hoping the board would consider. |

The past, present, and future of HOT | Hi Tyler, I appreciate that you/HOT have taken action to prioritize community - treating mapping and the work we do as both social and technical. I personally feel, as an OSM community member, welcomed when I joined HOT channels eg Slack. One of my work colleague/leader said: “Leaders who don’t listen are unable to give directions.” Thank you for listening to us. |

Getting to know local contributors to OpenStreetMap in the Philippines | “Mapping to me is an expression of the personal and the social – just like art. I naturally gravitated towards mapping places and people that contributed to my welfare and wellbeing as a person in the professional and recreational sense. It is my way of giving back, of returning the favor to these communities.” <3 Hi Ngawit! Thank you for sharing this! I was able to experience Bontoc in 2013 during our practicum, I love the place! I haven’t watched the docu but i heard a lot of great reviews! The local mapping community/OSM PH has a public group in telegram: https://t.me/OSMph please feel free to join :) |
