Please remember that schools only have kids there for a small portion of the year! Just 20% of waking hours! The rest of the time schools are used as community gathering places and recreation grounds. If you have evidence that no cut-throughs are allowed, you can add access=destination. access=private is only for places you need individual permission to access. Not even delivery people can go there!

Hi,
You said it right there: it's a minor collector. The highway=residential tag is meant for minor city streets and suburban residential developments. It's a special classification that falls outside the normal tier system for highways (primary > secondary > tertiary > unclassified). Really the whole of it from Old Wellington Road to US 6 ought to be highway=unclassified, but I just changed that segment as part of reviewing someone else's edit in the area. I'll take care of that now.

Unfortunately, the TIGER data that all of this was imported from didn't distinguish between suburban streets and minor rural roads, which is why there's so much highway=residential scattered around. Please see osm.wiki/Key:highway#Roads

Hi, what is your evidence that you need individual permission to enter this public school parking lot at any time? I don't see any no trespassing signs on the streetside imagery. Did you verify it on the ground? Who grants that permission? How does one apply?

Private access means "Access is only with permission on an individual basis" as per the Wiki. I'm removing these access tags. If you find evidence of a conditional restriction (like during school hours), you can add a conditional access. osm.wiki/Tag:access%3Dprivate

Hi, why did you add access=private to the service roads around this public school and polling location? Do you have evidence that voters are not allowed to park here? Street-level imagery doesn't indicate no trespassing signs.

Hi,
Please note that Madison Avenue is the road 150 feet to the east, and that this is an unnamed court. I fixed it for you.

Hi there! In this edit you changed a bunch of roads in the middle of the desert to highway=residential. That tag is meant for residential roads, not roads in the middle of the desert. Consider using track, service, or unclassified instead.

Hi,
I disagree with tagging these paths with `highway=cycleway`. These are lovely paths for walking as well as cycling, and the generic `highway=path` better reflects that. The `surface` tag should be used to indicate whether a path is paved.

Hi, I keep on forgetting to go and change all of Route 12 to primary. It meets neither the importance nor physical definitions of `highway=trunk`. I just did that one bit there where I made the bridge, but I should fix the whole thing later today.

Hi,

I'm unsure about the cafe "The Camerato Residence" that you added. It's a suspicious name, and there is no internet presence, so I think you might be adding a private residence as a business. Can you point to a website or newspaper article about the cafe?

Hi! Welcome to OpenStreetMap!

WRHS did already have a name attached to it. Please refer to osm.wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dschool to see how to tag school grounds. In particular, notice how the name tag belongs on the amenity=school school grounds area.

85446188 about 5 years ago

Hi,
WRHS already had an amenity=school tag. Please refer to osm.wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dschool for more information on how to tag schools.

Also the School Street bridge doesn't qualify as a primary road. I changed it to tertiary since you don't think it should be highway=residential.

I think it's better to be consistent with the rest of Utah's city boundaries which are at admin_level=8. The metro townships have fewer powers than cities, so if there's any deviation they should be at admin_level=9.

85225612 about 5 years ago

Hi, just letting you know that Magna is an incorporated metro township. I changed it to admin level 8 to match the other 2 metro townships that have been added to OSM so far. Happy mapping!

Hi, you've been adding a lot of `natural=grassland` in Manchester. That tag is for places like prairies. Mowed grass areas should be tagged `landuse=grass`.
Happy mapping!

Hi, in this edit you changed regular service roads into driveways. These ways do not meet any of the driveways listed at osm.wiki/Tag:service%3Ddriveway. I went ahead and fixed the issue.

Hi, I decided to revert this changeset because it changed the address of this point to be incorrect. Also the entered address was invalid (Grant doesn't go to 2928 North). I tried looking for the correct address on the listed website, but it does not have one.

If the business changed it's location, you should remove the tags relating to the business from this point, and create a new point where the new location is.

OpenStreepMap is a production dataset and is not to be used in this manner. You might be interested in software like QGIS. I am going to go ahead and revert all of these changes.

Hi,
You added a bunch of parking lots in places that are inaccessible to cars in this edit. What do you mean by this? I haven't been to Plymouth since the lockdown began; did they tear down a bunch of buildings and forests since then?

83895827 over 5 years ago

Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap! I've very confused by your edit. You tagged some areas as farmland, and it doesn't look like those areas are active farms. The farmland tag is meant for crops like vegetables and cereals (osm.wiki/Tag:landuse%3Dfarmland). Is it just that those farm areas are new? Do you know what crops are being grown?
