Inclusion in OSM | Thank you to remind us of these importants issues. Providing low bandwith access should be in the to-do-list of every OSM online event. It is also a relevant to lower our ecological impact. |
tracking changes | if your area isn’t too big (something like 15x15km) you can create a RSS feed for a specific area with : https://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-change-tiles |

Amusement park modifications | Great work! There is some usefull tools from Pascal Neis to know who is mapping around you: |
Begining of a mountain of a task | thanks Spiregrain for the Cadastral Layer tip! I’m so glad to discover it (and a little sad that I didn’t learn about it sooner…) It seems that there is a quarterly challenge from OSMUK to map all buildings. You can add the hashtags #ukqp to your changesets |
Begining of a mountain of a task | Enjoy your task! JOSM commands A and X will be your best friends :) It’s great to see our own efforts changing the maps. |
Indoor rooms | The main other tool to render the indoor mapping is indoor= For example this university in Japan |

It’s Easier To Contribute to OSM’s Website Now | @mmd: good news, I didn’t realize it wasn’t translated before and thought it was because of the change @migurski made that something bugged. sorry that I raised a non-existent problem. |
Give me advices | Hello, I added a few comments to some of your changesets, I hope it will help you |
It’s Easier To Contribute to OSM’s Website Now | Looks nice and much more user friendly! There is probably a bug in the localisation (my settings are in french, I don’t know if it happens for other non-english languages):

Open Table Tennis Switzerland | Are all the tennis table (leisure=pitch + sport=table_tennis) supposed to be outdoor, and those inside mapped with (leisure=sports_hall+ sport=table_tennis)? or should we add a specific tag location=outdoor Is the access=public/private widely used? for example, a lot of tennis tables inside closed school grounds (in leisure=schoolyard) are only for students so should be tagged as private the wiki is not really clear about that |
Give me advices | It depends on how already detailed is your area. If they are not already there, I’d begin with roads names, then house numbers. Then places of interest as public buildings (schools, sport centres, parks) and shops (with their contact and openings hours). another good thing is to map what is usufull for you/what you usally look at when you look at a map, it helps to keep mapping meaningful. StreetComplete is great to add informations but the geometry of the elements (point, ligne or area) must be already mapped, so to add new elements, you’ll need OSMAnd (only for ponctuals elements AFAIK) or Vespucci |

welcome to hot_tech... | Welcome all, it looks like an awesome team. it’s great to see more of the real people behind the maps! |
Sorry / Bad choice of words | @nrdw6: “There is no “systemic misbehaviour” in OSM. This is not an opinion, it is a fact.” ==>It’s your opinion, not a fact. |
OSMUS Community Chronicles | any idea for the 2 peaks of new contributors in 2017? was it because of pokemon go? |
Changesets: few and bulky or many and light? | On iD, i had a few bad experiences with big sets (>50) being lost after a refresh of the page. So I’d recommend smaller sets to limit the risk of losing your work and track of what you were working on. I find it also easier to correct errors on smaller sets when you submit them. |
