Dear sebastic, if it's not possible to distinguish locally valuable data damaged by newbies from rubbish which mistakenly got on OSM (and should indeed be removed), please stop "fixing" by deleting all broken polygons in the DRC. I've just had to revert relation 10775396.

Thanks Flynn and Jocelyn for the quick reaction. I ended up reverting the rest of this changeset after communicating with Ghislainnduyiriuosbeni.

We obviously have a different understanding of "properly maintained" and of "beyond repair".

Indeed it had no member because they had been mistakenly removed from the relation. Adequate fixing of such issue is adding back its members instead of deleting it. Following your changes I've had to repair Nord-Kivu in the DRC and Ugandan Western Region which are admin_level 3 and 4!

Through this changeset the Congolese Nord-Kivu province had been deleted. Please note that I have reverted it in order to correct it further.

Hi Zoocat56, I see you are mainly mapping Kinshasa entities. Could please tell me why this boundary was changed from administrative to political?

In the future, please crosscheck the way you are categorizing points added to the map. Please also note that only the first letter should be capitalized in names. There seem to be repeated issue with JOSM since it does not always record changeset comments and source. This changeset comment: "Villages et postes de santé, Equateur", source: "MSFOCB, collecte des données avec Osmand et Kobo (mars 2020)".

Merci pour tous ces récents ajouts à OSM. Attention cependant, ces zones habitées ne portent pas le nom de "Village", le tag landuse=residential suffit pour les qualifier. Le champ "name" est destiné à recueillir leur nom, une information qui devrait venir préférentiellement d'un relevé de terrain ou d'une personne connaissant extrêmement bien la région. Habituellement ce tag "name=*" sera associé au tag "place=village" et placé sur un point vers le centre de ce village (ou ville/campement/lieu-dit).

Hi @user_5359, this data was collected using OSMAND app (as mentioned in metadata) by OSM contributors on the ground over the course of several weeks. The tags used in this changeset follow the guidelines described here: osm.wiki/FR:DRC_Tagging_Guidelines#Formations_sanitaires which matches the current discussions within DRC community.

Hi @ElYunque, is it possible to share the reason for downgrading all those roads as paths please? Roads with the function of connecting settlements should rarely be tagged this way. On satellite imagery, roads may appear very narrow simply because 4-wheels vehicles are rare in the region, it doesn't mean that the road isn't widely used or important. Please check osm.wiki/Highway_Tag_Africa

Merci pour la réponse. Le problème d'avoir laissé ces tags, c'est que ça a supprimé une information correcte pour la remplacer par une qui est erronée. Je propose une rencontre dans les prochains jours pour réviser ces données ensemble. En attendant, il vaudrait mieux annuler tous ces derniers changesets sur les "highway".

Hello @vick25, il y a un problème de tag sur cette modification et beaucoup d'autres dans le quartier. Il s'agit bien ici de route résidentielle (les "path" font rarement 10m de large et les "viaduct" ne font pas plusieurs kilomètres de long). Merci de vérifier leur signification sur osm.wiki/FR:Highway_Tag_Africa ou avec la communauté OSM.
