128359360 | almost 3 years ago | Hi Chronoshift. Thanks for your detailed contributions! The station's looking pretty good overall, though I have just a couple nitpicks: How come the station name was changed to "Rahway Train Station"? As far as I know, the running in boards at the station platforms just say Rahway, so the name of the station node should match. "Rahway Train Station" seems more appropriate as a name for the building. The pedestrian area multipolygon should end at the curb instead of being attached to the roadways. As it is, a couple lanes of roadway are included in this pedestrian area, and of course those aren't walkable, so the outline of the area should be detached and shifted over a little. Keep up the good work! I look forward to hearing back from you :) -Clay |
124592173 | almost 3 years ago | Hi there Danny, Thanks for adding speed limits to the Capital Subdivision. In the US, railroad speed limits are almost always defined in miles per hour, which is reflected in OSM by appending " mph" to the maxspeed value. If no unit is specified, software will assume kilometers per hour. I've gone ahead and added " mph" to these tracks: osm.org/changeset/128184650 Let me know if you have any questions. -Clay |
126376427 | almost 3 years ago | Oops, changeset comment should say "realign and add missing tags to streetcar lines" |
126077970 | almost 3 years ago | Hi declanmar, The Amtrak station building was previously tagged with building=train_station. Here it was changed to building=yes and railway=station was added. Was this intentional? Previous discussion for reference: osm.org/changeset/105154035 -Clay |
126060205 | almost 3 years ago | Hi Karzdan, Sunset Station is not currently a train station. Amtrak operations have moved to the neighboring building to the south. The link in the website tag leads to a redirect, indicating that Sunset Station is now an event venue called The Espee: https://www.theespee.com/ Reverted and updated here: osm.org/changeset/126282897 -Clay |

121343153 | almost 3 years ago | Following up on this. Do you have an answer? |
125548233 | almost 3 years ago | Hi sdvm, Why did you tag this segment of Capital Boulevard as trunk? This has created an island of trunk highway disconnected from the rest of the network on both ends. This goes against tagging guidelines for trunk roads in the US—could you please undo this change? -Clay |
123826173 | almost 3 years ago | Sounds good. Updated here: osm.org/changeset/125751395 |
123826173 | almost 3 years ago | Hi there Jacob, I was checking US route relations for consistency and I noticed you changed the ref value of this route from "14A" to "14 ALT". I'm aware that this route has a nonstandard shield, with "ALT" appearing below the number inside the shield instead of above on a banner sign, though I'm not sure "ALT" belongs in the ref value since that info is already supplied in the network tag. Would it be okay if I changed the ref value to just "14"? -Clay |
124286456 | almost 3 years ago | Thanks for the context. Would you mind writing an issue on the Americana Github so we can get these supported? https://github.com/ZeLonewolf/openstreetmap-americana/issues |
124286456 | almost 3 years ago | network=US:TX:CTRMA:Express is not documented or supported by any software. Does this route truly have shields that differ from other CTRMA routes? |
121343153 | almost 3 years ago | Why did you retag the express lanes of Loop 1 as motorway_link? These definitely don't meet the criteria for link roads. |
125315292 | almost 3 years ago | Oops, meant SR 46 |
124386692 | almost 3 years ago | Not an inconvenience at all. Thank you Yuliya! |
124386692 | almost 3 years ago | Hello A_Prokopova, I inspected this route to make sure the entire route was signed as primary, and I found a secondary segment [1]. The network values `US:TN:primary` and `US:TN:secondary` are a recent invention, and in migrating from the old tagging `US:TN`, some routes need to be split into primary and secondary segments. These segments should be kept in separate relations, which should themselves belong to a super-relation tagged with `network=US:TN`. I've gone ahead and updated the relations for this route here [2]. -Clay |
120922336 | almost 3 years ago | Did you mean to add the Wikipedia and Wikidata tags for Elora, Tennessee to these route relations? |
122373909 | about 3 years ago | Hi Shawn, This building is already tagged as a station building—there is no need to merge the station node with it. If you intended to map this station as an area, draw an area enclosing all station facilities, including the building, platform and any switches. I've gone ahead and restored the station node here: osm.org/changeset/124199357 -Clay |
123324966 | about 3 years ago | Hi cmitchell, It looks like you've merged the station nodes with the new building polygons you mapped at Brooke and Leeland Road. Note that station buildings are just one part of stations. If you intended to map the station as an area, draw an area enclosing the grounds of the building, platform and any switches. I've gone ahead and restored the station nodes here: osm.org/changeset/124198156 |
119961031 | about 3 years ago | Hi WashuOtaku, It looks like you've deleted the node for the Amtrak station here and merged its tags with the station building. Station buildings are just one part of a station—if you intended to map the station as an area, draw an area enclosing the grounds occupied by the building, platform and switches. I went ahead and restored the station node here: osm.org/changeset/124197799 |
