61152757 | almost 7 years ago | As for Texas Orthophoto, the server was mysteriously taken offline a few months ago. I guess the state government didn't want people using it. |
61152757 | almost 7 years ago | I wrote a [diary entry](osm.org/user/clay_c/diary/42361) about this issue. Frontage roads in Texas are truly unique, and there's not really a "correct" way of mapping them, although I tend to map them on a continuum of `highway=trunk` when they function as continuous multi-lane thoroughfares with stoplights, to `highway=tertiary` or sometimes `highway=unclassified` when they're two-way rural frontage roads. Other mappers tend to care that frontage roads are tagged the same or higher than the surface road for which they serve as on- and offramps. So, segments of frontage roads connecting motorway_links to surface roads probably shouldn't be downgraded beyond that. |

63546308 | almost 7 years ago | Good outline, good tagging!

63546052 | almost 7 years ago | Nice building outline and tagging! This kind of building is tricky to map. Think of it more like rowhouses, where you draw an outline for each individual home and connect them all to their neighbors. Likewise, each business in this strip mall deserves its own building outline. But since the CVS is all we're concerned about here, go ahead and make that one its own building outline and don't worry about the remainder of the building - You can leave that as a generic building=yes.

63522793 | almost 7 years ago | Hi! The tagging looks good and complete, although it looks like you accidentally put two building outlines on top of each other. Make sure to delete one of them to get full points.

61152757 | almost 7 years ago | Oh whoops, I think I got things mixed up. Not reverting anything; everything's OK |
61152757 | almost 7 years ago | Hi, I think you might be using different imagery from what I was using when I mapped out the frontage roads here. Texas Orthophoto showed a lot of completed construction and was more up-to-date, but unfortunately it is no longer available so I'm just gonna revert it back to the version I made based on that newer imagery and hope you take my word for it. Sorry! |
63549377 | almost 7 years ago | Good outline! The right angles look nice, and the tags seem complete. Though I should mention that this is actually a private building, and for the purposes of this contest, we're prioritizing publicly-operated buildings, such as government, education and emergency buildings. (Don't worry, you'll still get points for this one!)

63348883 | almost 7 years ago | The building outline doesn't quite match up with where the building should be. I suggest going into the Backgrounds menu (hit B in Edit mode) and switching over to Mapbox Satellite before drawing the outline. Also, I don't think you meant to tag this building as a motorway (freeway). Could you change it so that it's a building?

63346953 | almost 7 years ago | Great building outlines. Make sure you get rid of the points and copy over all their tags to the building outlines.
|
63346790 | almost 7 years ago | Good outline, good tags! Make sure to get rid of the point and copy all its tags over to the building outline to get full points.
|
63346788 | almost 7 years ago | Make sure to put the tags on the building outline for full points!
|
63346542 | almost 7 years ago | Nice building outlines! The right angles look great. Whenever you find an old partially-tagged point where you want to draw a building, you'll need to copy all of its tags over to your new building outline to get full points (and make sure to delete the point afterwards). I don't think the building at 9650 Scipio Lane is meant to be a recreation ground - could you go ahead and change it back to a building?
|
63346535 | almost 7 years ago | Good tags, though don't forget you'll need to draw the building outline and copy over the relevant tags to it to get full points.
|
63346496 | almost 7 years ago | Good outline. A couple tags are missing - what street does this building have an address on? And who operates the building?
|
63346375 | almost 7 years ago | Awesomely done! Good right angles on the building outline. I see you took a crack at the opening hours. Certain software will expect opening hours to be written a specific way (two-letter day abbreviations, semicolons between entries, etc.), and you can use tools like [YoHours](http://projets.pavie.info/yohours/) to figure out how it's supposed to be written down.

63346277 | almost 7 years ago | The west corner of the building seems a little off. I suggest going to the Backgrounds menu (hit B in Edit mode) and switching over to Mapbox Satellite before you fix that corner. The tagging looks otherwise good.
|
63346242 | almost 7 years ago | The tagging looks good! Though to get full points, you'll need to copy the tags over to the building outline and make sure its corners are right angles.
