Looks like you tagged parts of Ogden Avenue and Joliet Road with the ref tag as US 66. However, since US 66 doesn't exist anymore, so you should really change the tag to be old_ref=US 66. Thanks!

But the fact that you claim to have used an external data source, (TX National Resources Information System) as opposed to just tracing from aerial imagery, is what makes this an import. If it isn't an import, why did you indicate that an external government data source was used?

71619765 about 4 years ago

The difference is that an import is bringing in data to OSM that was created by someone other than you, usually like a governmental source as is the case here, as opposed to GPS data which you would have most likely collected yourself. And using the aerial imagery to trace landcover isn't an import because you're creating the data yourself and interpreting what the aerial imagery shows.

Also, can you provide examples of "other areas that match [my]
concerns that aren't being reverted"?

Here's the link to the Slack thread where this was discussed: https://app.slack.com/client/T029HV94T/CCJ2P6KCH/thread/CCJ2P6KCH-1624314522.088100

I didn't participate in this discussion but you can see that most of the people who participated in that discussion agreed that the data quality was poor (I would agree with that myself), and that seems to be the main reason why it was reverted.

I'm sorry if you feel that the definition of what is an import isn't clear. I'd agree that this does meet the definition of an import since you took an already-existing data source and imported it into OSM. It doesn't matter that you may have modified the data a bit (this is often necessary anyway), but you are taking an external data source and bringing it into OSM.

Hello,

Please don't tag roads as motorway unless they have more than one consecutive interchange with no at-grade intersections in between. This is based on the consensus of the US OSM community. Please keep this in mind in the future, thanks!!

105852970 about 4 years ago

There's a reason why this road was split into separate ways, because parts of this road are a bridge and parts are not, so the road has to be split into separate ways where the bridge starts and ends. Otherwise you have an extremely long bridge where there isn't actually a bridge.

I've fixed this for you but please be aware of this in the future.

In case you're not already aware, you shouldn't tag a road as motorway unless it has at least two consecutive interchanges and is at least 2-3 miles long. The Clifton Boulevard bridge across the Rocky river does not meet those qualifications. This is based on the consensus of the US OSM community.

I would really appreciate it if you change this back to how it was before. Thanks!!

I'm referring to all the ones tagged as access=no currently.

A freeway has to have at least two consecutive interchanges in order to be considered a motorway. Please change these back; thanks!!

You might want to add a note=* tag to the building way stating this, in case someone else comes across this and has the same question I did.

Interesting....thanks for letting me know.

Why did you tag the Northgate Link Extension as railway=rail when it should be railway=light_rail?

Does the Seattle Ice Centre really use the British English spelling of the word center?

Hi, and welcome to OpenStreetMap! I noticed you tagged this retail area as a building, however that tagging is incorrect. The building=yes tag is only supposed be used on ways that cover a building footprint. The correct tag is actually landuse=retail.

I've noticed you've done this elsewhere in the US. Can you please correct your mistakes? Thanks!!

Hi, usually, in the US, freeways have to have at least two consecutive interchanges in order to be tagged as a motorway, and this is not the case here. (the interchange with I-25 doesn't count because this US 20/26 freeway meets it at a diamond interchange)

Please change it back to trunk; thanks!

I don't think this light rail is open yet, is it?

Is this road still closed?

Do you have evidence that the Foothills Parkway is actually under construction? I looked on the NPS' website and it doesn't appear that it is under construction.

Can you please explain why you keep adding "Heavy Traffic Route" to the name field? This has been removed multiple times, yet you keep on adding it.

WA 410 should still be motorway until just past the exit with Sumner Tapps Hwy East/166th Ave E. That section clearly is a freeway.
