This map from the local town, Pacé, shows the situation: there used to be a connection to complete what is now shown as "ancien circuit" (old circuit) in the bottom right (https://www.ville-pace.fr/upload/espace/1/media/environnement/cadre_vie/circuit_randonnee/2020/moulin_corrige.png). Local people and other sources concur that the path was abandoned because it forced walkers to cross the D288, which is too dangerous (I can confirm this from personal experience). |
