You still loose the fact that you do not have to place intersection nodes on two ways that cross, but where you cannot turn.

Don't know for sure, but I guess it's similar to our motorway_junction-nodes with a ref. Maybe the roundabout still has the same ref as the main road, but the "exit/junction" has a number as well.

There was some discussion on naming junctions in the past, as this is the primary name for navigation in Asian countries.

Oeps, didn't pay enough attention. It's near Mechelen,that I added somewhere a junction node (I think) to indicate the name of a junction.

Select the road, shift-command-i on a mac, so I guess shift-ctrl-i on a PC, takes you to the webpage of the selected item (be it a node, a way or relation). Then you can copy the URL.
Since I was to lazy to do it today, I thought you were referring to the other node I mention above, with the named junction.

It was meant to follow osm.wiki/Proposed_features/highway%3Djunction , so we do not need the nodes on all crossing ways, when you cannot make a turn there. This mean an experiment when I was discussing this proposal with another mapper (who unfortunately left since then).
About the name, that's probably another crossing in the neighborhood.
As a tip, you can put a direct link to the problem way/node in the changeset, e.g. osm.org/way/326136175 in this case

As long as we do not have a decent method to give a name to a junction, it will stay as it is :-)

I'll try to have a look later on. I have to dig into my notes from that day. Perhaps I just drop it, as I think now that lanes=2, lanes=1 is a better solution (or whatever the number of lanes is before and after the narrowing)
BTW, we can use AGIV aerial images in Flanders, which are more recent and have a better quality.

Via M!dgard vernam ik dat je niet akkoord gaat met de manier waarop uitritten moeten gemapped worden volgens osm.wiki/Key:turn.
Hierbij wordt de aftakking pas gedaan bij het verdrijvingspunt. Ervoor moet je met turn:lanes werken.
Ik ben dit sinds april 2014 consequent op alle straten beginnen mappen.

Volgens mij geeft OsmAnd hiervoor de juiste instructies, zelfs bij een hele korte afslag zoals hier: osm.org/way/23902944 Ik krijg hier eerst een melding om naar de rechtse rijstrook te gaan en dan af te slaan.

Deze manier van mappen wordt volgens mij ook toegepast in Nederland en Duitsland.
Volgens een Nederlandse mapper zou in commerciële navigatiesoftware de aftakking ook gebeuren op het punt van de volle witte lijn.
Ik weet ook wel dat niet alle OSM-gebaseerde navigatiesoftware turn:lanes ondersteund, maar een OSM way dient niet om rijstroken mee voor te stellen, zie ook osm.wiki/Lanes

Het lijkt me dat de manier van lanes/turn:lanes tagging redelijk goed ingeburgerd is in verschillende landen, dus als u een alternatieve manier wil voorstellen, dan kan dat best via een discussie op een of ander forum of mailing list zodat de verschillende meningen aan bod kunnen komen.

Laat je aub niet afschrikken door het foutje dat je hebt gemaakt. Zulke dingen hebben we in het begin allemaal wel eens gedaan.

Ik heb die changeset teruggedraaid. Dit kan je niet met iD, maar wel met de editor JOSM. Als je de kaart ververst, zou de Kleine baan er terug moeten staan.
Wat je met verkeerde puntjeslijn bedoelt weet ik niet echt goed, maar door de "bridge=yes" af te zetten denk ik dat het wel klopt.
Kan je het zelf nog eens nakijken ?

Ik heb nu de tag bridge=yes weggehaald.

I decided to change the first part of the street to highway=residential. I cannot believe that it is a footway, because otherwise you would not be able to reach the houses 24-26.
Furthermore JOSM complains about access=designated because that is meaningless. I changed it to motor_vehicle=destination.

Maybe the original mapper meant "sidewalk" and not "lane" when she/he used "street".
Since you probably did not check each individual fire hydrant that you modified to see whether it is lane vs sidewalk, you should have followed the mechanical edit policy (see osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct)
