Parking_space micromapping JOSM method overview |
Perhaps be prepared for disasters by testing what kind of elements would be easy to move en masse. (Any at all?) |

Parking_space micromapping JOSM method overview | Glad that you are using air photos and not GPS in parking lots. I’m just worried if one day you will find your air photos were a meter or two off… |

OSM becoming a patchwork of different referencing systems | Today I illegally tried my country’s government map as a background, and found all my years of local mapping was skewed… proven by GPS traces (which match the government map) too. Well that’s what happens after a constant diet of your average satellite images, and a government that doesn’t allow one to use the local imagery or maps as reference. |

The pass history of OpenStreetMap Taiwan: the big blank area of Huko, Hsinhong, Kuanin | Alas the only layer with “perfect” WGS84 alignment is the government layer, and it is limited to zoom level 15. So the rest of the editing is done with a patchwork of different alignments: osm.org/user/jidanni/diary/392287 . |

GitHub's backward blocking causes conflict aggravation | Apparently I got over it within minutes https://github.com/openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website/issues/1333#issuecomment-255526907 but nobody knew, as they already had blocked me. |

GitHub's backward blocking causes conflict aggravation | Ah, but at least FB and IG don’t let me keep on commenting on the blockee’s issues, with the blockee anesthetized so he is not aware of it too. |

How to check for bbox USER map changes with overpass? | (I recall I removed a telephone very near osm.org/?mlat=24.17788&mlon=120.72338#map=19/24.17788/120.72338 I still can’t figure out how to “reveal” it, despite the above discussion. The best I could reveal is ways, not points.) |

How to check for bbox USER map changes with overpass? | Indeed, “I could have sworn I added that hardware store already last year, and now it is gone.” Or maybe I haven’t been taking my paranoia medicine lately… it would be great for a one-click way to find out the truth. OK, maybe two clicks. |
|
Bing Imagery Offset | Yes, village 1 gets mapped with offset 1, village 2 with offset 2, etc. until one day when their edges finally meet and one has to deal with the problem. P.S., here in Taiwan Bing is 10 years old. |

New feature: Easily add new maps to your menu! | Say, will sites I add propagate to all the computers I have chromium installed on? |

How to highlight high-precision GPX traces? | @TheSwavu, Yes, and I admire your ability to handle switching from left to right, for me it messed me up for a whole month. |

How to highlight high-precision GPX traces? | Alas, precise coordinate entry of points is not encouraged for regular users. |

You thought OpenStreetMap data uses the WGS84 datum? No it doesn't! | Alas, even if I had the exact coordinates of those markers in the pictures… well… |
