Hi, you've spelt Australia and Queensland incorrectly. Rather than the association legal name, wouldn't the main trading name "Scouts Queensland" be a nicer fit for the operator tag?

That second link didn't work correctly, the colon on the end didn't link. This one will get you there: https://bit.ly/3ik3dZF

Hi, welcome to OSM.

To guide you better mapping, you'll want to read more detail on the wiki as you go. You should not put descriptions into the name field (osm.wiki/Names#Names_are_not_for_descriptions).

In this case, I assume the community centre acts as an emergency shelter only during an emergency. In that case you might like to just add the "emergency:social_facility=shelter" tag to the community centre building area and delete the point you added, see osm.wiki/Key:emergency:

You've created a beach at Deception Bay. You should familiarise yourself with the tagging guidelines for beaches, specifically the upper and lower limits which are mapped incorrectly.
osm.wiki/Tag:natural=beach

Are you sure the beach is named "Deception Bay"? The suburb/town name shouldn't be added to the beach if it doesn't have a name.

OSM tagging uses lower_snake_case tag values, and so the surface=Sandy_with_vegetation tagging is now unique world wide. Usually the primary surface is used, in this case "sand", if you want to keep vegetation then you should use surface=sand;vegetation.

You've created a randomly shaped beach named Cribb Island with bad tagging next to Dunwich. Please stop defacing OSM.

You've created a concrete beach strangely shaped covering grass, roads, buildings and beach.

Hi, welcome to OSM. The toilet block should be tagged with amenity=toilets not name=toilets. See the OSM Wiki for documentation on this tag, you'll also find that the iD editor you are using also has a preset for toilets to save you typing the tag.

I've reverted your change to add a dash to the end of "name=Bevco" to "fix a conflict". This is not a good change.

This map feature wasn't even using the brand tag, but if it was it would have been a valid use of that tag.

"Bevco" is a registered business name in Australia and the name of this drinks manufacturer as advertised out front of the business premises. I've also made other improvements to the tagging of this site.

You've changed the bus parking at Venman NP's trailhead to include access=yes, however on the ground it is specifically signed as bus parking.

I added the bus=yes and motor_vehicle=no access tags a few years ago to reflect this, I don't think access=yes makes sense.

I've partially reverted this changeset. You've accidentally modified the place node for Caloundra and changed it to parking.

Tip: check out the summary of your changes on the left in iD before you upload.

Isn't there a painted dashed line between the 2 roundabouts, so lane_markings=no isn't applicable here?

101860598 over 4 years ago

Consider using entrance=* or amenity=parking_entrance rather than notes to map how to get into a building. See the wiki for more info.

What does "Mo-Su 12:00" mean, it opens and closes at lunch time? You can probably just change it to "24/7".

I'd go with:
landuse=construction
construction=depot
depot=bus
depot:type=service;storage
name=Brisbane Metro Bus Depot
operator=Brisbane City Council
access=no

osm.wiki/Tag:landuse%3Dconstruction
osm.wiki/Tag:landuse%3Ddepot

Completely up to you, but I'd usually not bother mapping proposed buildings or driveways until they start getting built. Legally you'll find the BCC construction plans are copyright, so you should really only trace aerial imagery or physically look at the site and not copy from their plans.

Hi Alan,

You've accidentally moved the node for 6 Glengala Drive to Lillian Ct.

Hi again Alan, same comments apply here as changeset 100668563 regarding lifecycle tags and building footprint.

I haven't looked at the proposed plans for this area for quite some time, but you've named this "Depot". Is this where they are parking the buses overnight and for maintenance? If so, then this isn't a public_transport=station for us public to use.

Hi Alan, welcome to OSM and great to see more local mappers.

I've got a few comments on your changeset to help improve them:
- OSM is meant to map what is on the ground today, if a Woolies, Hungry Jacks or Metro station is under construction or only at the proposed stage, then the element should reflect that otherwise maps are going to tell people they can use them (new data gets out pretty quickly). Have a read of the construction tag and lifecycle tag prefixes on the OSM wiki. These lifecycle prefixes are there to prevent software telling people to use a bus station, nearby petrol station, etc or routing people through roads under construction, obviously until they are available, also means you don't have to suffix the name= tag with "- Under Contruction".
- building= areas should only cover the footprint of the building not the whole land. Simple example: building=house should cover the house and landuse=residential should cover all the land where people build houses, sheds, driveways, pools, gardens, etc. Same applies with your additions, see the building and landuse wiki pages for more info. If the building doesn't exist and you don't know how big it'll be, just use a single node instead of an area.
- For the Woolies Dark "Store", it obviously needs a lifecycle prefix since it doesn't exist yet, but since we'll never be able to visit it, it isn't a supermarket just a warehouse, no different from our point of view to their normal distribution centres, I'd tag it as such and probably not use the mainstream media "dark store" term.

Let me know if you've got any further questions.

Hi, I don't believe the hazard=yes tag you've added to a section of the cycleway makes sense. "yes" doesn't mean anything. This tag "is intended to tag hazards that are explicitly declared by posted signage and/or government declaration".

I don't recall anything other than road crossings that could be a concern there, and crossings have their own tagging.

Take a read of the wiki for more info:

Hi, nice work tagging this pipeline, I had always wondered the route it took through Brisbane because specific spots are very visible on aerial imagery.

Just a few comments on tagging:
- You could use a relation rather than duplicating tags
- You shouldn't suffix name with "(abandoned)", instead use the "abandoned:" lifestyle key or disused=yes
- From some reading Santos still owns the pipeline and easements, you could add operator=Santos
- From what I read Santos hasn't decommissioned it yet, sounds like it is full of air at zero pressure and hasn't been cut into segments and capped off yet. So disused=yes probably makes more sense than the "abandoned:" lifestyle key then as they are still responsible for it until they've decommissioned it complying with EPA
- It probably should have layer=-1
- You could add diameter=250

Some additional info on top of what nevw said, if you'd like to indicate a section of Fryar Road is flood prone (for example next to Albert River Park) then take a look at the OSM wiki on the flood_prone key which can be applied to a split section of the road: osm.wiki/Key:flood_prone.
