Adding a clear description when saving your changes would be incredibly helpful, making it much easier for others to review the modifications. I'd like to bring to your attention that your recent edits to fuel vending stations and legal access tags could potentially impact previously established community consensus. 139229519 | about 2 years ago | Thank you for providing the answers and explanations. While I agree with you on the first examples ("I parked here," "My home"), I still don't understand why any inputs with the tags "tourism=viewpoint" or "tourism=camp_site" would be considered "spam." To my understanding, "spam" refers to the addition of irrelevant, misleading, or inappropriate data to the map. However, using these specific tags seems legitimate as they are commonly used to mark points of interest like scenic viewpoints and camping sites, which can be valuable information for map users. If this decision is specific to a particular country, I respect that. But rather than reverting entire changesets across multiple countries, it might be more beneficial to leave such decisions to be addressed by the mapping communities in the respective regions. From my experience, contributions made through maps.me in Thailand have been valuable as they serve as helpful pointers for other mappers and provide an incentive to explore and improve the maps. |

139229519 | about 2 years ago | Hey BaghdadiMapper, I'd appreciate it if you could explain why you are removing what appears to be valid contributions from Maps.me in your country and abroad. I haven't noticed any spam in those changes you removed. I've encountered a similar situation with another mapper from Iraq (138107559). Is Maps.me banned in your country? I'm just trying to understand the issue here. Thanks! |
