131964770 | over 2 years ago | I changed craft=brewery to craft=distillery as that seems more appropriate. |
131715611 | over 2 years ago | Welcome to OSM and thanks for mapping. This looks great! |
131315644 | over 2 years ago | Hello and thank you for editing. The presences of a "private" on the blade sign of a street does not necessarily imply that the road access on OSM should be listed as private. Most cities in the NC, the "private" is an indication that street is not maintained by the city or state. access=private should be used in the case where permission needs to be granted to access a road. I don't know what it is in this case, but I would typically only add that tag if there were other evidence of access being private, such as a "no trespassing" or some similar sign. |

126022799 | almost 3 years ago | Also, there is an ownership=private tag that you can add for these roads. |
126022799 | almost 3 years ago | Hi, thank you for your edits to improve OSM. In this and some other changesets you have added a "access=private" because a street sign says private. I assume this is one of the green signs that indicate the street name? These signs indicate that the road is privately maintained and not maintained by the city/state, while the access tag indicates that no one is allowed on the street unless given prior permission by the owner. In many cases, this is not true of privately maintained streets and is not implied by the green sign having a "private" on it. Typically access will be determined by other signs, like "no thru traffic" (access=destination) or "no trespassing" (access=private). |
124255472 | almost 3 years ago | It looks like you accidentally squared and aligned all the buildings between Wilder, Metcalf and Dole street in this changeset. |
117927872 | over 3 years ago | Hi, thanks for adding these trails. There are long sections that are marked as bridges. Is this a mistake or are there really long boardwalks on this trail? |
117835066 | over 3 years ago | Welcome to OSM and thank you for working on the map. In this case, I am confused as to why you removed the boundary=administrative tag from this county border. Such tags are the correct way to denote administrative boundary. See the wiki for a more in depth description: osm.wiki/Tag:boundary%3Dadministrative Also, it would be helpful if you could use more helpful changeset comments so that other user know what is in the changeset and why the changes were made. |
103663765 | over 3 years ago | Hi, you changed this 8 months ago from what I believe was an actual Subway to what I believe is a ficticious name with a promise to rename.

114709716 | over 3 years ago | Please note that the waterway=riverbank tag is no longer favored to be used, instead water=river is preferred. |
114387425 | over 3 years ago | Hi you've added a bunch of nodes here without tags that probably belong in a large import of data. Usually before importing data, the import is discussed with the community and a description of the data are given both in the changeset comments and on the OSM wiki. Please refrain from continuing import until it has been further discussed. |
111562786 | over 3 years ago | Seems like it may be time to just clean up these messes rather than hope the mapper will... |
113243589 | over 3 years ago | Hi, welcome to Openstreetmap and thank you for improving the map! A minor suggestion: It is customary to write out names in unabbreviated form, so Ln should be Lane and Dr should be Drive. Thanks! |
72956907 | almost 4 years ago | I'm going to undo this addition. While I appreciate your desire to warn the community of this unsafe dog, tagging this dog as a residential area is incorrect. Further, these sorts of issues are not really appropriate as a permanent feature to be kept in the OSM database. |
110134678 | almost 4 years ago | Welcome to OSM and thank you for efforts in making the map better! |
109488245 | almost 4 years ago | Hi. Thanks for your help in making the map better! It's really important to get as many people as possible working to get the data as accurate as possible. As a long time user, I wanted to point to a couple of conventions that you may not be aware of regarding your edits. First, you added a name to this road, which is very important. It is recommended to write out full, unabbreviated names for roads, so "Terry Road" in this case. Second, you changed the highway from "residential" to "primary". The classification of roads of is a bit unusual and somewhat subjective, as it was derived from a british system, but adopted worldwide. "primary" highways are roads that connect major cities and in the US usually are US highways. "secondary" highways are usually state highways and tertiary are usually county roads that connect minor population centers. Terry Road appears to be a short road that primarily has houses and farms on it so should be a "residential" or "unclassified" depending on whether it is primarily for houses or not. Sorry for the long note and thanks again for editing! If you want to more discussion about how to map please join the Slack page: https://slack.openstreetmap.us/ |

106856749 | about 4 years ago | Do you have a reference for "Trunk roads should never directly intersect with motorways" I've never seen this asserted before. |
