Hi d1754, did NAMRIA gave explicit permission to import this data? If yes, then its good news, but, we also need to document in the OSM wiki the process of import and the written permission from NAMRIA.

Hi, some of the roads you added doesn't appear on the ground (judging by the satellite imagery). Can you confirm that these are indeed roads? My hunch is that they are brgy/village boundaries. Thanks!

a lot of buildings is way off, see for example large buildings within a quarry site in antipolo: osm.org/#map=18/14.63414/121.15270

Hi, I think Sumulong Highway should remain as trunk and not tertiary since this the main road connecting many eastern towns of Rizal to Metro Manila via Marcos Highway.

Please go ahead and map it! :) Keep on mapping nathan!

No worries. I just want to point this issue. As they say, "early detection" is key. ;)

Many buildings has a "name=magpur4hh022". What does it mean?

Hi Ate chat980, I've edited an area to demonstrate the proper tags: osm.org/changeset/29696558

For example:
for farmlands, we use the tags: landuse=farm and crop=rice. No need to add the name=Ricefield.
for fisponds, we use the tags: landuse=aquaculture, natural=water. No need to add the name=fishpond
for residential areas: no need to add the tag name=houses unless there is a specific name for that residential area.

Thanks. As I suggested, we will discuss with the community (both the specific contributor and also the local PH community). We will improve the tagging based on our community agreed tags. Thank you for pointing this out.

I appeal that you don't implement mechanical fix for now. I'm pretty sure they use Bing, local knowledge and nothing else. Let us please deal with this through our local community. If there is a need to fix tags (which I agree we should), please allow the local PH community to do this.

@emacsen, :) Yes, @chatt980 is getting better in using iD, but I'm sure this is not automated knowing the skill level of the contributor. True, there are issues with the tagging. Instead of fixing it myself, we try to solve this by explaining to the contributor directly. I will schedule an in-person discussion which works best.

@emacsen, this is not an import. @chatt980's edits are regular osm edits. They are a local government staff updating the map for their disaster risk reduction efforts. We trained them in using OSM.
See: https://www.gfdrr.org/sites/gfdrr/files/publication/Community-Mapping-for-Disaster-Risk-Reduction-and-Management.pdf

Hope that clears up your questions.

Yes, following the "one feature, one OSM element" principle.
osm.wiki/One_feature,_one_OSM_element

Just create a polygon and copy the tags.

Please double-check there is already an existing Fooda Savers Mart here.

Just to point out that some of the buildings I created here based on ARC's survey point gpx maybe too small for the average building size. Will update this later. SOrry for that.
