Demolition of this empty building to make way for the Dunard Centre expected to start shortly.

Junction currently being improved as part of the interim Charlotte Square project.

I've updated the pedestrian crossings but the final design will include a cycleway to the west of the junction with access to/from George Street.

From “Modern Railways” November 2024 page 62.
“…..all passengers at Edinburgh Waverley (not just those using LNER) will benefit next year from the opening of a new family lounge (similar to that at King’s Cross) and a passenger assist lounge. Both are scheduled to open in early Summer 2025 - the full travel centre will be retained but it will move to existing LNER facilities adjacent to Platform 5, with the currently disused side of the travel centre to be repurposed to create the new lounges.”
