Until it is still the same place, it has still the same Polish name and it belongs in name:pl in OSM. "This explains why some of the name:pl tags you add are incorrect: they have nothing in common with official name, neither phonetically, nor by the meaning. While I'm not interested in name:pl tags, expect those to be fixed by other mappers." Umm, Polish name doesn't have to have anything in common with official name, especially if the official name has been changed. For example Polish name for Kaliningrad is still "Królewiec". So, unless there is new Polish names in use, or @wmyrda has made an evident mistake, there is nothing to correct. Otherwise of course it should be individually corrected. |
46469488 | over 8 years ago | I still can't see the rationale behind this redundancy, but hey, it's not an excessive amount of data, so feel free to add it. Just don't try to force others into adding it for you by threatening to destroy their job if they don't. Also, decide - either adding name:lt requires manual control in each case - and then don't expect mappers from abroad to do it, they are not qualified; or it is simple copying from name and then just set a bot or script to do it and don't bother people to do a mual labor when it can be automated. Tertium non datur. In short: if you feel something has to be added, just add it. |

This is essentially blackmailing a user doing a good job, that you will destroy his work if he doesn't do additional job he has no knowledge to do, to satisfy some QA bot. |
46626085 | over 8 years ago | @Tomas Straubis If there is such a rule in Lithuania, then this is the job for a bot to enforce it. Just add name:lt if there is such a rule. You cannot expect outside mappers to stick to your local rules - if they don't go against them (e.g. removing name:lt tags), they are doing right. Did wmyrda emove name:lt or change local official name to some wrong value? If not, than I don't understand your problem. |
46469488 | over 8 years ago | Sorry, keepright or no, there is no sense in keeping the same name in name=* and name:lt=*. This woul make sense only when name:lt was different from locally used name and I believe this doesn't happen in your country as it doesn't happen in mine. Also, I really don't understand how keeping redundant name:lt does affect the problem of frequent changing names. |

2. Każda apteka w Polsce powinna mieć dispensing=yes, inaczej nie nazywa się apteką. 3. Na wszelki wypadk, owszem, sprawdziłem :D |
38583835 | over 9 years ago | What exactly is amenity=mobile_money_agent shop=pharmacy? If they sell medicines, it should be amenity=pharmacy instead of shop=pharmacy. Maybe two POIs are needed here. |

35667995 | over 9 years ago | The link to talk list is working for me now. so it might besomething temporary. I've read the links you have provided and there is only once a question why amenity and not shop. With no answer and no argumentation for shop. As for letting mappers learn... Yeah, you are right. But consider, that we don't know if the mappers who put shop=pharmacy are still editing or even reading messages. I can see a point of teaching when someone just made a mistake (where just==not long ago ;) ) so that he/she avoids the mistake in future and I can try when checking for shop=pharmacy next time - I will know then that the mistake is fresh ;) . |
35667995 | over 9 years ago | 1. I didn't know this page. Will stick to it if I ever make automated edits (which is quite possible). BTW, link to talk list on the page doesn't work for me.

33185437 | almost 10 years ago | Bardzo słusznie, i dzięki że poprawiłeś, zanim z zadupia wróciłem. |
33185437 | almost 10 years ago | Dobra, mam. |
33185437 | almost 10 years ago | Nie, uznałem to za oczywistą litrówkę. Z dokumentu wynika, że to akronim i raczej nie nazwa miejscowości. Warto sprawdzić co to właściwie jest. Zakład Dostawczy Urządzeń Natury G... G... Jakoś nc mi nie przychodzi do głowy. |
