The original Ellis County Rural Fire Department, Company 5 shed was to the north, closer to the alley where Nate's Liquor and the former building was. The building where the tag is now is a private garage, and the old RFD is not in use anymore, as the county vacated it within the past decade to and sold it to a pest control company (which I think is still in service, not sure). The proper tag (which was updated a long time ago at 1105 E. 22nd St) for the RFD 5 is on the corner of General Hays Road and 22nd Street. |
