Hi,
https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=69868934
it seems those were true parks:
osm.org/way/162893161/history - the churchs park
osm.org/way/485045164/history - it may be a soccer pitch; so just change tags or revert to previous; anyway should not delete the previous geometry.
You should not remotely delete before asking previous editors about your doubts:
osm.wiki/How_We_Map

Please, could you verify or undelete it?

Ok? Tks.

Não me lembro.

Thank you for your work. I've mapped a lot eastern Nigeria too. You're right, tracks defined as ways leading from houses to farm/field,
not for ways connecting other settlements.
But between settlements, there should be at least one routable way for motor vehicles (at least 4WD). Many times they cross the farmlands.
From A) Gudumbali
osm.org/node/501526463
to B) Karna Gabchari
osm.org/node/5511453207
I can see there are at least two more named settlements:
Aisaka A
osm.org/node/5511452779
Jabbari
osm.org/node/5511455888
and another one, unnamed, but with many houses, there:
osm.org/node/5511453297
So 5 rural/farm settlements in the way, but still settlements.

Also, extending from there, I would consider it as a somehow continuous way (almos all dry ground can be a road) since it leads to
Dumba'A
osm.org/node/3646370674
perhaps through this larger unnamed settlement (would need to examine a bit more to confirm)
osm.org/way/227799648
and from there to the border with Niger,
osm.org/way/682805966
and here there are marks of wheels of motor vehicles
osm.org/way/451352357
indicating that it's a more important way than just for some cow cart.
So the lager context is also important to examine.
It seems to me it's a significative way, that could be "unclassified".
I agree, seems around there there's a bit too much of others as "unclassified", that could be just tracks.
Thank you, good job.

Hi, please keep in mind that Africa has a particular stablished classification coherent to its road structure. At osm.wiki/Highway_Tag_Africa

And please, start really mapping and don't delete or change just by armchair mapping things other much probably know better than you. See, you have "too" much deletions for a begginer, 83% nodes: http://hdyc.neis-one.org/?Ryzen. That's not a good beggining.

Could you please at least haven't deleted the info about the company that constructed previously that place, from wich the place historicaly got its name? We are working hard in this disaster, and to keep related information. Have you anything else to do in your country, besides deleting information on others? Could that info you deleted have been preserved by you in another tag, like description=* or note=*? Shure it could, easily if desired.

One error in the wiki made by someones, does not authorises another error in removing tags made by others who have nothing to do with the previous error.
What to do:
It's stated: *Do not engage in large-scale "cleanups" without securing the agreement of the relevant community*
While not secured the agreement or a broad and agreed solution, just don't change it . You're making loosing much other infos that could be more well thinked on how to preserve.

*mata nativa: natural=wood
*mata cultivada: landuse=forest

Just for info, actually, building = yes is not only for homes, but for any or undefined building. Anyway, in this particular area, it is not a building, ok.

66006238 over 6 years ago

Sure.

If you're really commited to standards, consider OSM editing standards:

osm.wiki/Good_practice

*Don't remove tags that you don't understand*

osm.wiki/How_We_Map

*Do not engage in large-scale "cleanups" without securing the agreement of the relevant community or talking to the people whose work you aim to "clean".*

66006238 over 6 years ago

You've just remove many specific information about services, such as batteries; brakes; electrical; inspection; muffler; oil_change.
Where do you suppose would someone find them again?
Simply removing info is not a good deal.
Are you considering the validity of those infos in your large-scale re-tagging?

65976856 over 6 years ago

Ok, thank you for your nice editions. Just a conceptual note: mapping from sattelite image is nice, but is not considered as ground truth. Ground truth in OSM means survey physically in the place, and on the present date. Sat images usually are somehow outdated.

Thank you @wambacher for your helps in monitoring many boundaries.

Just to explain, in Brazil we keep these 2 official boundaries (admin_level= 8 & 9) according to official IBGE classification for municipalities and districts. It happens that many times both are coincident when there's only 1 disctrict, the municipality itself. But many times aren't, when there's more then one disctrict. But both are official, each one with its own
IBGE ref code.
