117555302 | over 3 years ago | We understand you need to make money, but there are also rules… we’re judging you for not taking the time to look at them even after several people complained. You aren’t entitled to break them. |
117555302 | over 3 years ago | First of all- It’s not just you! We have quite a few experiences with people from the metaverse vandalizing the map, so the general sentiment is against the metaverse. OSM is primarily used as a map of the real world and had existed for decades, and it is not in existence primarily to add gaming data. You can still add it, but it needs to follow the rules the rest of the world does. Adding many nodes doesn’t increase quality significantly. However, it adds a lot of data to the map. The servers can handle it, but there are several reasons why it is still bad- 1. If you shape of the lake is updated in the future, it would be a huge pain to change it. 2. There’s no real-world reason to do so, at least until now. Maybe the game likes the level of detail, but the community doesn’t, and OSM is almost entirely built off of community consensus. 3. Some people use an editor (like iD) to edit the map, and they download an area to edit. Places with a ton of detail make it harder for those people to edit, because they have to load ridiculously small areas near complicated places, like this golf course. |
117555302 | over 3 years ago | OSM has a wiki with general community preferences, and you've violated several of them. When you join a community, do you not read the rules and jump right in - especially in a site that has real-world consequences. The resolution on the bodies of water and other objects is considered unacceptable for OSM for several reasons - the iD editor should give warnings when you break them. |
117268840 | over 3 years ago | Oops - I also added another forest near Webster Springs too |
114721557 | over 3 years ago | These buildings are not accurate shapes - can you please try to make them more accurate and fix these ones? Thanks! |
114499553 | over 3 years ago | You're not allowed to delete that. |
113945580 | over 3 years ago | Hi, can you please explain this tag that you used in this changeset? common_good=yes |
113767994 | over 3 years ago | Are you sure all of these buildings are squared? I saw a few that seemed very slightly off |
113673561 | over 3 years ago | Hi, can you please use more constructive changeset comments? I'm also not sure why you deleted that bus stop, so can you explain that as well? Thanks! |
113539825 | over 3 years ago | Thanks for mapping! Make sure to square all rectangular buildings you make with the "Q" key. It makes them look much nicer!
|
113539585 | over 3 years ago | Thanks for mapping! Make sure to square each building you make with the "Q" key. By doing so, they are more realistic and look much better!

112428814 | almost 4 years ago | Honestly, if *two* nodes are being edited it'd be much easier to get this done in two tiny changesets than one slightly bigger changeset that spans the entire world. |
110553610 | almost 4 years ago | Why did you change this road to primary? |
110381501 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, can you please make more descriptive changeset comments?

110029246 | almost 4 years ago | Is the government office really named "aaaaaaaaa"? |

108430155 | about 4 years ago | "What is the colour of this building: osm.org/way/373879419/history ?
|
108430155 | about 4 years ago | You... were asking about the color of a building. I was responding to that part. Obviously, the original question is something I cannot answer. I don't get your point. |
