Hi Jeremia - I'm a fellow mapper in Sacramento and saw the new parking lots you've been adding. I've also been working on mapping downtown, so it's nice to meet a fellow mapper!

I have one item of feedback that would help edits match with those from the broader OpenStreetMap community, and that's about "squaring" areas (like buildings and parking lots) when the areas have edges that are near-right angles on the ground. In iD editor, you can do this by clicking on the parking lot after creating it and then hitting the Q key on your keyboard, or via the right click menu.

Procedures may slow us all down, but are frequently the difference between good and bad data. They're also the difference between a personal database and a collaboration. None of us can decide to *not* be a part of this community and what the community agrees on, and continue editing. That applies to me as well. If it was important to me that data be entered without following the community's rules, I'd need to stand up my own copy of the database and edit it instead - that's an option for you if you don't agree with the required procedures. If it is important to you that the community understand that the import process is onerous and reducing your ability to contribute by taking your time, it's relevant to discuss that on the wiki, Discourse, talk lists, Slack, Discord, reddit, wherever, and try to improve them. But it's not allowed to just make edits. I'm not any kind of manager or privileged user of this community, just someone else who, like you, cares about the data too - the rules are what gave us this database as it is today - I plan to follow them and hope you will too.

Just adding a note for anyone else that reviews this that the added crosswalk appears on Maxar imagery and looks like a somewhat recent addition.
