149461367 | over 1 year ago | Hi folks FYI - Phone numbers in Australia should be added to OSM according to the following format with the country and regional code +61 x xxxx xxxx, (+61 xxx xxx xxx for mobiles) or use the phone:AU key if a 1300 or 1800 number.

To get the + symbol on a mobile device numeric keypad you may need to do a LONG press on the zero.

149201571 | over 1 year ago | Welcome to OSM and congratulations on your first edit! There is an active mailing list as well as a discord channel for Oceania users as well as lots of help on the following wiki pages. osm.wiki/Australian_Tagging_Guidelines |
148960298 | over 1 year ago | There is a greyed out prompt on the telephone key which has the +61 etc (whilst in AU) and there are some validation tools in different editors (ID, JOSM etc) and there are also apps that can make it slightly easier for specific tags but phone tagging is quite complex world wide. I just use an Overpass query to find common issues and correct them (Australia only). There are only a few each day so its not that onerous and it helps new mappers to get on top of the tagging early on in their map careers. |

148713372 | over 1 year ago | Just a heads up re the use of phone number on Defibrillators - its the phone number for the person responsible for the device (which is usually the actual business where its located ). Triple Zero should not be added to these devices. osm.wiki/Tag:emergency%3Ddefibrillator |

148439447 | over 1 year ago | Is Maxwell STT an old walking track or vehicle track (should be a path)? Maybe add operator=Sustainable Timbers Tasmania rather than in the name. |

148244310 | over 1 year ago | No drama - I just check phone numbers regularly. For readability its also good to add the spaces in the numbers ie +61 X XXX XXX etc |

148322167 | over 1 year ago | Welcome to OSM and thanks for your first changesets. A great place to get information on Aussie tagging is the wiki - osm.wiki/Australian_Tagging_Guidelines I have made a change to the phone number to use both the country and area code as per the wiki. Have fun mapping - Cheers |
